Service
the bottom of the box was a bit squashed, there was some white glue-y residue on one corner, and when I pulled the bottle out it had smudges and a couple of tiny dings near the base. The cellophane was not pristine either, like it had been resealed or handled. I sprayed it right away to see what I was dealing with and honestly the scent itself was… okay, but that first impression was already tainted by the packaging and the obvious wear. You notice stuff like that when you spend real money on fragrance, right.
I tried the batch code on CheckFresh and it wouldn’t validate. That was my main question to customer service — not yelling or accusing, just asking if they could confirm the batch. They came back at me with a clip of them packaging the bottle, but the video was shot from far away and totally blurry. You can kind of see a box, maybe a bottle, if you freeze and zoom at the exact second, but it’s not a convincing proof that the item was untouched when it left them. I had taken timestamped photos as soon as I opened the box, so I sent those. I even screenshot the parts of their own video that contradict what they said, and then things got a bit awkward.
Their replies shifted from defensive to flat-out rude. I tried calling once and they hung up on me. I called again, got a polite lady who transferred me back to the same guy who’d hung up, and he basically asked why I was calling and told me to email instead. So I hung up and replied to the email. The agent’s response looked like copy-paste sales speak, and kept focusing on the cellophane, which I kept saying was not my point — I wanted clarity about the batch code and whether the product was authentic. They even sent a badge image claiming to be an authorized seller, which I later found wasn’t true.
They offered a $60 discount after some back-and-forth. That felt low given how worried I was that the bottle might be counterfeit, and given how it looked on arrival. I buy hundreds, sometimes thousands, in niche fragrances every year, so I’m not someone who jumps to conclusions, but this felt off. I’m glad I didn’t make a bigger order. I’m planning to do a short unboxing and honest take on TikTok once a couple more orders arrive, partly to show people what the packaging looked like and partly to get some community feedback.
So yeah — if you care about how your frag arrives and you value friendly, helpful customer service, be cautious. The ordering process itself wasn’t hard, the price wasn’t the worst, but the delivery presentation and the way customer service handled a simple verification question left me pretty annoyed. I’ll see how the rest of my orders turn out before I decide whether to stop buying from them entirely, but this first run wasn’t great.

ServiceI recently ordered some custom samples from the company, and I have to say they were really great to work with. I saw them talking about scents in a livestream on social media and thought it would be cool to try them before buying a whole bottle. The samples they made for me were spot on, and I really appreciate how much they helped me out. It's too bad the scents weren't quite right for me, but I'm happy I got to test them out first.

ServiceI gotta say, I'm super impressed with the company. I don't usually write reviews, but I just had to tell you how great my time with them was. When I ordered those fancy fragrances, everything went like a breeze. The shipping was crazy fast, even though I'm way up here in Alaska! The customer service was top-notch, and the stuff I got was totally legit. I grabbed a bunch of fragrances for me and my peeps, and everyone's loving their scents. I'll definitely be back for more because my experience with MaxAroma was just fantastic.
