a Presidential Liaison rep promised we'd be covered for both units, so we recycled the washer, trashed the bad dryer and re-bought a new pair while waiting. Relief actually came later, oddly — when the new washer and dryer started working and made laundry painless again, I breathed out. Small surprise: the delivery crew were courteous and careful with the stairs. Still, the company only covered one unit in the end, leaving us almost $1,000 short. Fairly disappointed, but at least the machines do the job.

Customer service eventually agreed to swap the machine but it took ages, months of phone calls and emails, which wore me down. The replacement came and, annoyingly, the same problem returned after the warranty ran out. I’m thankful the delivery team was polite and the initial tech tried to help, but overall pretty disappointed — lost a few decent sweaters and I won’t be rushing back to this brand.
