Half-finished fencerow frustration
Half-finished fencerow frustration
Productit cuts well when it works, feels like a pro-level tool in the hand, and batteries are fine (I even bought extras thinking I’d use it a lot). But reliability and parts availability matter more than raw power; if a cheap plastic cartridge can disable the whole unit after two uses, that’s a design or QA problem. I returned it to Costco in the end — not because the motor was bad, but because I don’t want to babysit a tool that might stop mid-job and then be impossible to fix. Slightly annoyed, slightly thankful for the replacement, but overall not confident I’d buy another without proof they fixed the spare-parts issue.
Fence, batteries and mild despair
Fence, batteries and mild despair
ProductThere’s nothing like being halfway through fixing a sagging fence and watching your battery go from “plenty” to dead in about five minutes. That happened to me with one of the Greenworks pieces I bought — and honestly, it was the straw. I’ve collected maybe half a dozen of their tools over the years (because hey, electric is appealing and lighter to lug around), but the batteries have been inconsistent at best. Some lasted a season, some croaked the day after the warranty expired, and a couple just never held a decent charge. It’s that little drop-off in runtime that sneaks up on you and ruins a Saturday.
