GOBI Cashmere - Reviews and experiences

Weirdly, the sweater itself is great — soft knit, roomy in the shoulders (which I needed because my bad shoulder hates tight cuts), and the sleeves actually reach my hands, finally. I ordered the wrong size at first since they don’t do exchanges, so I sent it back and ordered the right one. That part would be fine except the return landed three weeks ago and there’s been zero update, no refund info, nothing — feels like I paid twice for one sweater. Annoying for sure, and I was sceptical about buying again, but wearing it now I’m pleasantly surprised. I’ll shop here again, just more carefully.

I was halfway through my coffee when I got the email saying my cashmere pullover couldn't be fulfilled — after I’d already placed the order on Thursday. What annoyed me most was that their website still showed two left, and nobody bothered to offer an alternative or a quick fix. My first-order voucher disappeared too (not sure if that’s related), and I had to chase them for a refund — which eventually showed up, but only after waiting and some back-and-forth. Compared to other retailers who at least suggest a swap or send a small apology, this felt clumsy and a bit careless. That said, refund arrived and that calms things down; I’m just more wary now and probably won’t jump back soon.

The site promises a downloadable return label and says returns cost €5, but no label ever showed up in my email. So I ended up paying postage myself, which felt like being charged twice. They claim it’s for CO2 reasons; weird, since they still ship to Austria and other EU countries. I’ve had companies actually include a prepaid label before, so this felt unfair. I called support, stayed calm, and after a bit they were helpful but not exactly apologetic — they offered a small partial refund on postage, which was better than nothing. Overall I’m skeptical, annoyed, but a bit mollified; just watch the fine print and double-check.
