International purchase experience
International purchase experience
DeliveryBuying from Etnies as an international customer has become a real pain since they moved to the Netherlands. Shipping is a hassle and costs a fortune, especially for us in the UK. Returning items is also a headache and expensive, making the whole shopping experience with Etnies a big headache. Using UPS for delivery just makes things worse. Luckily, there are many other shoe brands in the UK that offer a smoother shopping process without all this hassle. I really hope Etnies thinks about coming back to the UK to make it easier for us customers to buy from them.
3 pairs of shoes
3 pairs of shoes
DeliveryI bought 3 pairs of shoes from this store not long ago. Sadly, one pair had to be returned because they were out of stock. But it's been more than a week since I ordered them, and the other 2 pairs haven't even been shipped yet. When I reached out to customer service to ask about the delay, they gave me a weird response about a return request I never asked for. It's really frustrating and I'm pretty let down with the service from this company.
About Etnies
Etnies is a footwear brand established in 1986, initially known as "Etnics," derived from the word "ethnic," a nod to the skateboarding subculture. The brand, however, changed its name due to legal issues. It is recognized as the first skateboarder-owned and operated global action sports footwear and apparel company. Etnies not only pioneers innovative products designed specifically for skateboarding but also strongly advocates for environmental sustainability. Its commitment to planting trees through the "Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree" project demonstrates its dedication to ecological preservation. The company was founded by Pierre André Senizergues, a former professional skateboarder, after he moved to the United States from France. Etnies is a part of Sole Technology, Inc., a broader conglomerate that oversees several other action sports brands, reinforcing its influence within the skateboarding and broader action sports communities worldwide.
