Towels
Towels
Returns & RefundsI recently bought a set of towels from this store. The website said it was a set of two towels, but when I got my order, there was only one towel for each one I bought. I reached out to customer service about it, and they admitted they messed up, but they wouldn't fix it. They just told me to send the towels back in the flimsy bag they came in and go to Canada Post. It was annoying to be told I was in the wrong when it was obviously their mistake.
Refund process delay
Refund process delay
Returns & RefundsI just reached out to customer service about getting a refund for something I bought. It wasn't smooth sailing, though. The folks I talked to weren't really paying attention - one of them even put me on hold in the middle of our chat! Plus, they told me it would take 3 to 4 weeks to get my money back, which feels like forever. And to top it off, I kept getting bombarded with promo emails from them during that time, which was pretty annoying. All in all, dealing with this company has been a letdown and has definitely left me super frustrated.
About Cabela's Program
Cabela's is a well-known retailer specializing in outdoor recreation merchandise, particularly focusing on fishing, hunting, and camping gear. Founded by Dick Cabela in 1961 in Chappell, Nebraska, the company started as a mail-order business when Dick Cabela began selling fishing flies he purchased during a furniture expo in Chicago. The business grew rapidly, leveraging catalog sales to reach a wider customer base. Over the years, Cabela's expanded its retail footprint, opening large-format stores across the United States and in Canada, which serve as destinations for outdoor enthusiasts. The stores are renowned for their elaborate displays, including museum-quality taxidermy, large aquariums, and demonstration areas. In 2017, Cabela's was acquired by Bass Pro Shops, another retailer specializing in outdoor gear, though the Cabela's brand continues to operate as a distinct entity within the combined company. The acquisition aimed to create a more efficient operation and enhance the overall customer experience by leveraging the strengths of both brands. Cabela's dedication to quality products and customer service has made it a beloved brand among outdoor enthusiasts.
