Coffee press travel mug
The coffee press travel mug arrived pretty quick and the service was awesome. My only problem is that the product has one annoying flaw. The pressing part works really well, and it keeps the heat like nobody's business - the coffee was still steaming hot and tasty after a 2-hour trip. But, there are a couple things - first off, the mug is just too wide to fit in car cup holders. That's not a big deal; the other problem is that when the press is down, it leaves about an inch of liquid below it, that for some reason can't go through the mesh to be drunk. So it's like a little less than a quarter of the drink that's stuck at the bottom. I don't get why the liquid can't go through the mesh, but other than that, I'm really happy with this mug.
Compact burr grinder
I recently picked up a burr grinder and let me tell you, it's been amazing. I did a bunch of research on different models and ended up choosing this one, and I'm really happy with my decision. I used to use an electric grinder, but the burr grinder is on a whole other level. It's super easy to use and crazy fast. The compact size is perfect for my kitchen and doesn't take up too much space. Since I started using this grinder, the taste of my coffee has definitely gotten better. There are different grinding options to choose from, so I can customize my coffee just the way I like it. I totally recommend this burr grinder to anyone who loves making their own coffee with beans.
Personal Bodum coffee maker purchase
I recently went to hang out with my friend who only drinks instant coffee, but she let me use her late husband's Bodum coffee maker to make my own brew. I usually have a mix of half-caffeine and half-decaf, so I brought my own coffee and tried out her Bodum. I was pleasantly surprised by how awesome the coffee was when made with the Bodum, it had a smooth and rich taste that I really enjoyed. The Bodum also had a sleek and modern design that looked great in my kitchen. I loved it so much that I ended up buying my own Bodum coffee maker to use at home. I am super happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to all the coffee enthusiasts out there.
Light and perfect stand mixer
I used to have this huge, heavy stand mixer but it was too much for me so I gave it to one of my kids. After a while of not having a mixer, I decided to get a smaller and lighter one for my baking. I found the perfect replacement at MoMA and after doing some research, I got it. As soon as I got it out of the box, I knew it was going to be good. I tried making lemon bread and pizza dough with it and it worked really well! It’s stable on my counter, not too loud, and mixes things smoothly. I already love it!
Vacuum Travel Mug
I got myself a new vacuum travel mug and let me tell you, it's top-notch. This mug is made really well and it keeps my drink hot (or cold) for a good while. The only downside was that there weren't many colour options for the sleeves when I bought it, so I only got one. Also, it was a bit tricky finding it on the website because it was under the coffee section instead of travel mugs.
Bistro Knife Block
I recently picked up the Bistro Knife Block to swap out my old one from Switzerland. Ordering was pretty simple once I got my account all set up. The two knife blocks showed up quickly and they looked pretty good. But I was a bit let down to see that the plastic rods weren't packed as tightly as my old one, so some knives were slipping in too easily. Plus, the bottom plate was detached from the side on one of the blocks. Now I need advice on which glue to use for reattaching it, maybe epoxy. Even with the quality control problems from the Portuguese manufacturer, I do like the shiny new look of the knife blocks and how they're easier to clean.
Coffee Grinder Purchase
I just got a new coffee grinder and I gotta say, I'm pretty amazed by it. The design is really chic and cool, plus it feels super solid. The grind is always consistent, so I'm getting the perfect grounds for my French press every single time. I was a bit wary of trying a different brand after my last one died out fast, but I have a good feeling this one will stick around for a while.
Drip coffee pot replacement
My new coffee pot is really awesome! It's taking the place of the one I accidentally broke. The customer service folks were so helpful when I didn't understand what an abbreviation meant on the website. They said I'd get an email when my order was sent out, but surprise! My new coffee pot arrived before I even got that email. Lucky I was home!
Glass mugs purchase
It was an easy process to buy the mugs. Unfortunately, one of them arrived broken, probably because it wasn't packaged well and was handled roughly during shipping. I let the company know about the breakage and they quickly sent me a new pair of mugs with some compensation. I am really pleased with the quality of the product.
