Assouline - Reviews and experiences

I got 2 books for Christmas but one of them was broken, so I had to send it back. I still haven't received a new one, and it feels like it's taking forever!

I just bought a gift book for my wife, but turns out I already got it for her before. I didn't want two copies, so I tried to return the unopened book for store credit. Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from the store after multiple follow-ups to make sure they got it. Phone calls keep going to voicemail and emails aren't being answered. It's really frustrating - their customer service is nowhere to be found!

I had an absolutely terrible experience with the customer service at this place. The staff was so rude and unprofessional. I've been waiting for a response from the customer service department for over four months now, and I still haven't heard anything. It's really surprising how they can treat their customers like that. The only good thing I can say is that I like the books they sell, but it's just not worth dealing with such disrespectful people. I've decided to take my business elsewhere and order from different stores like Flannels or Selfridges to avoid any more bad experiences with them or the high shipping costs. Overall, this company is a mess and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Those books might look great on your coffee table, but they really don't have much substance. They're overhyped and too expensive, making them seem more like decorations than something worth reading. The company that publishes them doesn't seem to care about putting out good quality content, they're just focused on making them look nice. It's frustrating to see so much potential go to waste on books that are basically just pretty on the outside.

I asked customer service for four packages with four orders of books in each. The response I got was so rude. The customer service was just awful! I couldn't believe how unprofessional and disrespectful they were to me. It was obvious that they didn't care about helping me or giving good service. They have a big selection of awesome books that are all nicely set up for folks with creative and artsy minds. One book that really stands out is "New York by New York", a must for anyone who loves books. They also have travel books with amazing photos, like "Blue Coast" and "Capri". The books at Assouline are a cool way to fancy up any home, and they're a neat change from boring old coffee table books. Even though the prices might be a bit high, the quality of the books makes them a good buy for folks who want to add some smarts and pretty pictures to their collection.
