Flashcard application upgrade
Flashcard application upgrade
QualityI just upgraded my flashcard app to the paid version and honestly, I'm feeling a bit torn about it. The user experience has definitely gotten better ever since I made the switch during the Black Friday sale. But, I gotta say, I'm kinda disappointed with the French learning content. It's not bad, but it's also not as good as I was hoping based on all the rave reviews I heard. The real standout feature is how you can customize your own study materials on the app, making it super personalized for your learning style.
New learning software
New learning software
QualityI really don't like the new software. I preferred the old one because it was much better. The new software feels like a game and it's taking me a lot longer to pick up new words now. The AI conversations are so all over the place, they don't even match my skill level. It's pretty useless and not helping me at all. I wish they stuck with the old software - it was way more practical and simpler to learn from.
Learning new language with video recorded natives
Learning new language with video recorded natives
QualityMemrise is a decent spot to pick up new languages, but there are a few things that bug me. Going through those long sentences for practice gets dull real quick, I'd much rather focus on learning individual words. And once you reach those higher levels, the point system starts to seem a bit wonky.
Language learning platform
Language learning platform
QualityThis platform is amazing! It's a fantastic addition to traditional learning methods because it gives you the chance to chat with native speakers directly, which is super important for learning a language. Repeating words and phrases is key in helping users remember and learn new stuff. I think starting with this platform is a must for anyone who wants to get better at a language. A huge shoutout to the team who put this platform together - you've created a really valuable tool for language learners.
Language learning course
Language learning course
QualityThis language learning course was going pretty well at the beginning with nicely organized lessons that were helping me improve bit by bit. But then, out of nowhere, my access got cut off and things took a turn for the worse. Now, the courses are all made by users and the quality has really gone downhill. It seems like someone in charge decided to change everything all of a sudden, and now it's just a disaster. The lessons are not great, they're unorganized and sloppy, making learners like me feel annoyed and stuck.
German courses
German courses
QualityI really enjoy using Memrise to learn languages! It's so much better than Duolingo. I've completed five German courses and the option to learn with natives is incredible. The interface is simple and user-friendly, making me feel like I'm making real progress in my learning journey.
Language learning tool
Language learning tool
QualityI've been using this language learning tool for a while now and it's been a great way to expand my vocabulary in other languages. I really like how the platform has word lists for all levels and lets you customize your learning. One of the best things is the Memrise algorithm that helps you remember words long-term through spaced revision. It's also handy that you can make your own lists and import them from spreadsheets. I started using it on my computer but I've found it's even easier to use on my android and IOS devices. It's more convenient for using it every day.
