At first, I wasn't sure about signing up for an ancestry site subscription because I was concerned about the cost and the level of service. But I was actually quite impressed by how quickly customer service responded, how accurate their suggestions were, and the amount of resources on the site. Even though I was hesitant at first, I ended up finding the site to be really great in terms of the quality of service and information it offers.

During my trial, I had problems accessing information. Whenever I tried to see some records, I got a message saying I had to subscribe to see the content. I tried to contact customer service for help, but no luck. Every time I called, I was told all agents were busy and to have my email ready. Then, the call would suddenly end. This happened many times over a few days, and I felt very frustrated and let down by the poor customer support.

I had sent an email to customer service at first with some questions, but because of the time difference between the US and UK, I figured I should give them a call during UK office hours. I was happy to find out that I was connected to a call center in Scotland, and a lovely young woman helped me out with top-notch customer service. She really knew her stuff about the products and services, plus she was friendly and had a good sense of humour. It definitely made my interaction with them a pleasant one.
