Gaming in 2022: What’s On The Horizon?
Gaming has become much bigger than anyone could have expected, and as things are looking now, 2022 may just be the year that experiences the full brunt force of this newfound growth.
There is a ton of exciting goings-on happening within this year of gaming, and if you are as big of a fan as us, we just can’t wait to dive straight in.
In this article, we will be giving you an overview of gaming in 2022, as well as going through a few of the biggest changes/events you can expect to see within this year of gaming.
A Plethora Of New Releases to look forward to
If you are someone that likes to keep up to date with all the latest game releases, 2022 is going to be one to remember.
There is an almost inexhaustible list of massive game releases in 2022, and there is more than enough to satiate even the most obsessed gamers' appetites.
When it comes to individual launches, there are almost too many to go through. To list a few of the most notable, there is Elden ring, SIFU, Dying Light 2, and last but certainly not least; Horizon Zero Dawn Forbidden West.
Horizon 1 was an amazing game, and there is no doubt that the second entry into the series is going to be all the more impressive.
The truly crazy aspect about the aforementioned games is that all of the games we just listed are all just from one month; February.
When you take an overview of the year as a whole, this is but a few of what’s yet to come.
The Rise Of Live Service Games
Live service games have been around for decades now.
It seems like only yesterday when everybody was talking about the Royal Vegas online casino withdrawal system and how it could transfer over to general gaming.
Well, this has now undoubtedly happened, as it seems as though live service games are here to stay.
Because of the insanely profitable nature of live service games and the fact that they can provide substantially more revenue for a company without half the amount of time it would take to create a normal game, there are now more live service games than ever before.
You can expect 2022 and even the next few years following to be jam-packed with live service games, and despite popular belief, it is not likely that they are going to be going away any time soon.
Let’s hope this isn't the case. Either way, who knows, maybe the next live service game will be the one that wins the hearts of everyone.
So, are you excited to see what 2022 has to offer in terms of gaming?
We know we are.
There has never been a better time to call yourself a gamer, and with the direction that the industry is heading in at the minute, it seems as though things are only going to get better.
Have fun.
