Square Space - Reviews and experiences

I gotta say, my experience with the website I made in 2020 was pretty good, but canceling it was a bit of a pain. Especially when I tried to stop the auto-renewal for the domain name - that was a whole other story. The website wouldn't let me log in, and the page just kept freezing on me. After a bunch of back and forth, I managed to fill out an online form, but they wanted so much info it was ridiculous. I had to dig up all sorts of documents like government IDs, bank statements, and details from when I first set up the account - which, let's be real, was a long time ago. Even after I finally sent in the form, the whole process was just frustrating and took up way too much of my time. And reading other people's reviews online didn't exactly ease my doubts that my problem would be fixed before they took more money from me. I ended up having to call my bank to stop any future payments, just so I wouldn't have to deal with more headaches. Honestly, it seemed like they were trying everything in their power to make canceling a nightmare, leaving me feeling stressed out and inconvenienced for no good reason.

I had such a tough time dealing with Squarespace and their auto-renewal thing. It's such a pain trying to figure out how to cancel it, having to dig through all that fine print on different pages. And the fact that Google gave them my domains just made it all worse. Honestly, I wouldn't suggest using their services just because of this whole mess.

On top of that, the process of adding items to my online store was a huge pain. It took way too long and had a bunch of unnecessary steps. The customer service wasn't great either - they didn't really help with my concerns. In the end, I decided to switch to a different option that was more affordable and easier to use, plus it had better support.
