Digging up bargains
Digging up bargains
Priceyou can track sales back ten years and up to the most recent listing, which saved me from overpaying on a weird little vase. First impressions were "oh, neat" — the interface felt a bit clunky at first, but staff helped me through a billing hiccup fast, like a patient librarian at 2 a.m. Not perfect (search quirks), but totally useful.
Handy for digging up prices

PriceI signed up a couple of years ago on a slow Sunday afternoon, mostly curious. At first I just poked around the Price Guide and within minutes I liked it. It feels solid and dependable when I'm checking past sales — I can pull results going back about ten years and up to current listings. I use it almost every day for research. The interface isn't flashy, but it gets the job done. When I've had an issue, support was polite and sorted it out quickly. Makes my workflow easier, would keep using it.
Charged me for months after I thought I’d cancelled
Charged me for months after I thought I’d cancelled
Priceit was a pain, but after I hounded them a bit I actually got things fixed and a refund — not spotless, but better than nothing. I needed this service for a last-minute tenant background check during a stressful move, so I called in February and the rep told me flat-out “you’re cancelled.” Great, I thought, problem solved. Except it wasn’t. For nine months $28.99 kept disappearing from my account. I only noticed when I checked a statement and, yep, there it was — little charges like clockwork. Calling back was awkward because they’re on Eastern hours and I often missed them, plus the first person I spoke with later claimed there was no cancellation on record. The agent I reached the second time offered one month back, then maybe two when I pushed, and seemed pretty shruggy about the whole thing — I said I hadn’t used it for nine months and they just didn’t record my original cancellation. I escalated, asked for a supervisor, and after some back-and-forth they agreed to a fuller refund and tossed in an extra month free as a gesture. Still annoying and could’ve been handled so much better, but in the end they made it right enough that I’m not still fuming.

Follow-upSpotted their ad on Reddit and a friend told me to try the "7 searches / 7 days" promo. Used three searches, it wasn't for me, so I cancelled. The cancellation page kept failing (weirdly every other link worked), but I eventually got the status to "No paid subscription." Three months later they're still taking money. First support message got ignored, second one got a bland automated reply — then, surprisingly, someone actually answered by email a week later. Still unresolved.
Quiet charge surprise

Pricepolite but not empowered or thorough, no clear records of my first cancellation call (I told them when I called before) and no follow-up emails. The product itself works for the odd lookup in daily life — it does what it says — but between the billing hiccup and the weak customer support, I’m left with a bad taste. Could be an honest mistake, but it cost me time and money and that’s not easy to shrug off.
Porch surprise, shaky support

Servicecoffee, two deep breaths, a quick moment before logging into work. It functions well and looks the part, so in that sense I'm satisfied. Where it falls short is the delivery and support. Tracking info was vague, delivery times slipped, and when I called (I'm on Eastern time) nobody picked up; emails dragged on. I also had to cancel my credit card after a disputed charge, which was a hassle. Support eventually answered but without a clear fix. Good little item, but service and delivery need improvement, and a clearer refund policy would help.
