Stuck in the loop

ComplaintsI signed up for the yearly plan to help meal planning — used it daily — access arrived instantly, but they let the trial lapse without warning, billed me. Customer service was slow, no refund, they billed me next year. Frustrating
Practical, not flashy

QualityHalfway through my first month last winter I realized the lessons actually feel practical. I use short projects after work, interface is tidy, classes focus on doing not just theory. Pleasant, useful.

CommunicationI grabbed a course on a whim between coffee sips. Lessons loaded instantly and I used them in short bursts while making dinner. Customer support actually replied fast when one video lagged, and the teacher added a surprise bonus file. Makes daily projects way easier.

QualityWas browsing Instagram and signed up after a friend nudged me. Took three beginner art classes and literally knew I was sold halfway through the second—clear, no fluff, exercises that actually teach you something. Uploaded a practice piece and got surprisingly useful feedback from the teacher. Quietly impressed; I even told a coworker to try it.

App & PortalWorth it overall. I use it most evenings and during lunch at work for quick skill boosts, and this time a skill path actually led me straight to what I needed. There's tons of options though, so you do have to dig — quality varies and browsing can be a bit slow.
Late-night creative boost
Late-night creative boost
QualityI'll often dip in before bed to watch a quick demo — sketching, watercolours, even a bit of knitting tutorials. The lessons are in bite-sized steps, so it feels doable, and there’s always something for my skill level. It’s easy to pick up and go, I use it for daily practice and it actually keeps me excited, not bored most days.
Weird bank alert, but liking it

PriceI saw a weird alert on my bank app mid-trial and nearly freaked out, but it turned out fine. I signed up for the 7-day trial to test the app and four days in there was an attempted charge for the annual plan. Support fixed it quickly and I like how the service feels — smooth, handy to use each morning. Would love a monthly option, though — perfect.

Qualitytry a few short classes first, you’ll see if it fits.
Locked out mid-trial, unsure what to do

App & Portaleither cancel the trial manually so I’m not charged, or restore my access so I can cancel myself. I don’t want drama, just a clear confirmation. Ticket ref 2232308 — please respond and resolve it before the trial ends.
That one-stroke moment
That one-stroke moment
Qualitymid-class, painting a little leaf, the instructor said 'try this stroke' and I did it — it worked. Not all online art classes do that; a lot of in-person ones I've tried were fancy demos where you watch and feel lost, but here the lessons are practical, step-by-step and leveled so I can start at beginner and not panic. I like that teachers tell you what supplies they're using and offer reasonable alternatives (I never have the exact brush they use, who does?). Joly Poa — yes, I have a favourite — breaks down techniques like brush control and wet-on-wet so you can practise, not just admire. The learning paths that string lessons together sold me; one thing leads to the next, no gaps. It's relaxed, chatty, friendly feedback, and I had a piece I was proud of. Nice.
Unexpected billing mess

ServiceI first saw this on a friend's Instagram, told my sister. I cancelled my subscription ages ago, but they kept taking money from my card. Support blamed an email that wasn't mine. I asked for a cancellation and full refund, then radio silence — Carol stopped replying and no ticket number given. Oddly, the course access and video delivery worked fine, and after a public nudge I eventually got a small refund. Still, customer service was patchy.
