Subscription to a collection of apps
There are a lot of apps to choose from, which is awesome because some are really worth the subscription. But lately, it seems like not as many new apps are being added and the quality of some isn't so great. It's kind of annoying that feedback about Setapp and CleanMyMac X hasn't been listened to. And when apps don't stay where you left them, it can be a real pain.
Subscription for "mobile" apps
I've been a SETAPP subscriber for a while now, and my experience has been kinda mixed. I originally signed up because they have so many apps for Mac and iOS, including iPadOS. But I was bummed to find out that they're asking for more money to access their newer iOS apps. It seems pretty unfair to charge 50% more per device, especially when there's way fewer apps on iOS compared to Mac. Even SETAPP's support team admits there aren't many iOS apps, so it's hard to see why they're upping the price.
Subscription renewal experience
I had a really frustrating time with customer support for this one app. I tried getting in touch with both Setapp and the app developer a few times, but no one got back to me or fixed the problem. It's making me second guess renewing my subscription next year. It's a bummer when you pay for a service and they don't seem to care about helping you out quickly.
My Setapp experience
I wasn't a fan of the change to Command Q, but they fixed it and that's pretty cool. Not every company would take the time to do that, honestly. I've been using it for a while now and I really enjoy it.
I got this a one-year subscription
I signed up for a one-year subscription, but they blocked it right after the trial period ended. The customer service was no help at all. They told me to try a different browser, even though I know it's not a browser issue. I'm just going to take the loss instead of wasting any more time with them.
Free trial app
So, I gave this free trial a shot for an app, but it just wasn't my jam. The app was fine, but not exactly what I was after. I wanted to cancel, but got a bit lost since my logins weren't cooperating. I was nervous after seeing some negative reviews, but customer service came through super fast. Turns out I was using the wrong email. Crisis avoided! Thanks for making the cancellation process simple.
Subscription service change
I've been using the subscription service for a while now, and it gives me access to a bunch of Mac apps. But lately, the company decided to start charging for the mobile apps that go along with the Mac app. So now, users have to either use a mobile device as one of their allowed spots or pay extra. I was pretty bummed out by this change because it meant an extra cost that I wasn't expecting. But even with that, I still like using the service and find it really useful for my work.
App selection and presentation
The apps on SETAPP are really great, eh? They have such a wide range of productivity tools for all sorts of needs. The way the apps are presented is also top-notch, so it's super easy to find your way around and see what each one can do. But, being someone who mainly uses a different computer at work, I don't find myself using the apps on SETAPP very often. It's mostly because I don't have enough time to really learn how to use them all, which was different when I was working as a freelance designer from home.
Amazing app subscription service
setapp offers a great range of apps that cover all your needs. Whether you need tools for productivity or creativity, they've got you covered. With Ulysses for writing, Sip for choosing colors, and PDF Squeezer for compressing files, Setapp really does have something for everyone. The app is well-designed, making it simple to find the right tool for whatever you're working on. And the low monthly or yearly cost is a bargain considering the value you get from the many apps on offer. I'd definitely suggest giving Setapp a try if you want to step up your app game.
Easy-to-use multi-app subscription
The subscription service has a ton of apps to choose from, making it super easy for users to find everything they need in one spot. The customer support is amazing, showing they really care and will do whatever it takes to help out. SetApp really comes through with what they say they'll do and is always adding great new apps to check out.
Gemini app suite support
I recently bought the Gemini app suite, thinking it would be useful with all the different apps included. But, I ran into a technical problem and had to contact the support team for help. I sent a bunch of emails but never heard back, which was pretty disappointing. The lack of support made the product useless for me since I couldn't figure out the problem on my own.
Then, in February 2020, I finally got a call from SetApp customer support. The person I talked to was really helpful and made sure to fix my issue right away. I was impressed by their professionalism and how dedicated they were to giving good service. From now on, I'm more likely to go to SetApp with any future problems or questions since their support team showed they know what they're doing and are committed to helping out.Saved a corrupt file
I needed some help with a corrupted file, just like that Word document that was sent to me.
PDF editor app
The PDF editor app that comes with SETAPP is just terrible. I mean, come on, I'm actually paying for this subscription and I expect way better than what I'm getting. Every time I try to copy something, it feels like the app is just taking a nap or something because nothing happens until I close it and open it again. And it's not just copying - it's like that for every single action I try to do as soon as I open the app. It's a huge waste of time and definitely not worth my subscription money. SETAPP really needs to up their game!
Subscription service disappointment
I used to really like this subscription service, as it had a bunch of handy apps that I could use for a monthly fee. But lately, they've made some changes that have really let me down. They all of a sudden said I could only use the service on a limited number of devices without telling me beforehand, and now they want to charge me extra for each mobile device. I think it's a clear way for them to try and make more money off of us loyal customers, which just isn't right. A bunch of long-time users are rightfully upset and are cancelling their subscriptions. It's really too bad to see such a good service go downhill because of greedy management decisions.
App library subscription
I've been using this app library subscription for a few years now and I gotta say, I'm really impressed with it. Instead of having to pay for each individual app or getting stuck in monthly payments for specific software, Setapp gives you a whole bunch of apps for one reasonable monthly fee. It's saved me a ton of money and hassle, plus I get access to all kinds of top-notch apps for just one price. The updates and new apps they keep adding make it even better and more exciting, so it's definitely worth the money. I would definitely recommend Setapp to anyone looking for an easy and affordable way to get a bunch of different apps.
Misleading Free Trial
Yo, this company is a total scam, eh? They hook you in with this so-called 7-day free trial, but it's all just a sneaky way to nab your credit card deets. Then, after they've got your card info all sorted, they conveniently run into "tech issues" when you try to add your payment. But guess what? When you sneak a peek at your account, your card's already in there, marked as "inactive". It's like they're just biding their time, waiting to hit you with charges once those supposed 7 days are up. Such shady business practices, eh?
Deceptive renewal process
I tried it before and thought it was okay, but when it came time to renew, I was not happy with the process. I went on my account to see about renewing it on Black Friday. When I clicked on the renew button, I expected to see the different prices before I had to confirm, but instead, I was charged right away. This felt sneaky because there was no heads up before they took my money. Other services I use always show me a page to confirm the charges before they charge me. They already had my payment info from before, so that's how they charged me without warning. Overall, pretty disappointed in how they handled the renewal, it was not fair.
Smart software solution
The selection of apps you can get with this service is really top-notch. The subscription setup gives you great bang for your buck and makes it a breeze to handle a bunch of different apps. The only downside I noticed is that it only works on Mac and iOS gadgets, so it might not work for everyone.
Essential Mac software
As a Mac user, I can't stress enough how important it is to have the right tools to make my work and leisure time more efficient and enjoyable. SetApp offers a wide range of applications that have become indispensable in my daily life. Whether I'm writing documents and blog posts with Ulysses or optimizing my Mac's performance with CleanMyMac, SetApp has got me covered. The extra features provided by BetterTouchTool for my touchpad and the convenience of Flume for managing Instagram make my workflow seamless and hassle-free. The variety of software available is astounding, and I've barely scratched the surface of what SetApp has to offer.
File recovery software
The file recovery program on this website totally saved me when my external hard drive crashed. But, when I tried to open the recovered files on other gadgets, I had some problems. Even though I paid for the full version after trying it out for free, the way the files showed up was kind of confusing and made it tough for me to actually use them.
