I just bought this DFF software so I could clean up my Photos library, ya know? There were like over 10 thousand duplicate pics in there! Turns out, I got those duplicates when I tried to merge two libraries with a different tool that didn't do the job right. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't figure out how to get rid of them on my own. Someone suggested I give DFF a shot since it uses the Photos API recommended by Apple for deduping libraries.

But as luck would have it, when I tried to set it up on my iMac, I hit a snag. DFF wouldn't register in the automation settings, so I couldn't get it to work no matter what I tried. After going through the usual troubleshooting steps, they hooked me up with an engineer who whipped up a special version just for me. This version had a workaround that finally let me clean out those duplicates in my Photos library, and I finished up the job yesterday.

I gotta say, I'm super happy with how it turned out. This is the only tool I trust to delete the dupes without tossing out similar photos, too. With so many items to sort through, I just didn't have the time or patience to do it all by hand.

I bought the MacCleaner Pro 2 - Unlimited version about a year ago, but it wasn't working well with my new MacBook Air and macOS Ventura. They were super helpful, explaining the issue and even giving me a free two-year subscription to fix it.
