Hoodie with a zipper
I ordered this really awesome hoodie with a zipper because I wanted to be stylish and comfy at the same time, eh? I was so excited to receive it, but it took longer than I expected. When it finally arrived, I was thrilled! The quality was top-notch, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I wore it to school the next day, and all my friends were like, "Where did you get that amazing hoodie?!" I felt so cool, eh!
Top-notch acting gigs
Oh my goodness, I gotta tell you about these acting job sites I signed up for, like, it was a total disaster. They promise to hook us up with legit paid gigs, but it's all a big fat lie! There's, like, a million no-pay or super low-pay jobs that totally disrespect us actors. It's not right, you know? And they could care less if we get duped or end up in sketchy situations. And on top of that, they charge us a ton of money just to use their dumb sites, with three different subscriptions! And let me tell you, their updates and stuff are all messed up, like a total nightmare trying to update my profile or share my reel. And they even tried to pinch our work, like our headshots and whatnot. It's like they see us as puppets they can control however they want. It's so shady and disgusting, something needs to be done about it!
New actor wage problems
Letting actors work for minimum wage is so unfair considering all the hard work they put in! A lot of productions these days are really dropping the ball by not paying people properly. And why do managing directors and panelists get paid so much more? I'm struggling to make ends meet and have to rely on food banks even though I work my butt off and turn down jobs that don't even cover my travel expenses. It's just not right!
Variety of roles available
I really enjoy auditioning for all the different roles in movies and TV shows. It's great because there's always something fresh and exciting to try out for, like that new feature film coming up. Plus, the membership fees are totally fair.
Film industry professional seeking job opportunities
Mandy.com was such a disappointment for me as a film industry professional. I spent money on a paid account, but hardly received any job alerts for production designer or art director positions. The work they promised seemed to disappear as soon as I paid the fee, which left me feeling tricked and annoyed. I suggest saving your money and networking at local events instead – you're more likely to find job opportunities that way.
Technical support for a malfunctioning product
The customer service at this place is terrible. Whenever I call for help with my broken product, the reps are no help and rude. I've asked to talk to a manager several times, but they keep avoiding the issue. And don't even get me started on their asks for screenshots – I sent them, but the support team didn't even look at them right. If you want to save your time and sanity, avoid this place and pick a more reliable service instead.
Job opportunities dissatisfaction
Recently, I decided not to renew my annual subscription with the company because there weren't enough job opportunities that match what I'm interested in and skilled at. Throughout the years, I've noticed a shift in the kinds of jobs they're advertising - more focus on things like brand ambassadors, workshop leaders, and Christmas characters, rather than the acting gigs in theatre and film that I'm into. The emphasis on technical roles like make-up artists and content creators made me even more hesitant to keep subscribing. It would be great if the company could mix things up a bit and cater to a wider range of talents and interests. Right now, I'm not an upgraded member, but I still check out the job listings occasionally just in case there are some changes that would make me want to reconsider renewing my subscription down the road.
Professional talent services
As a customer at Mandy, I gotta say, I was blown away by the top-notch service for all my professional talent needs. This platform really covers all bases when it comes to screen and stage talents, looking out for both performers and crew members. Thanks to Mandy, I scored a sweet role that took me to a fancy film festival recently. The folks behind the scenes at Mandy are industry veterans who've been at it since the 90s, and their service is seriously next level. Plus, even with the website makeover, they've managed to keep that original vibe of bringing industry folks together.
Great resource for actors
Mandy is a great platform for actors looking for job opportunities in their own area. It's really helpful for those who don't have an agent because it offers lots of chances without any cost. I totally suggest this website for new artists trying to get their foot in the door.
Casting platform experience
I've had a really good time using the casting platform as a member. It's well-made and easy to use, so it's a breeze to show off my profile and work experience. I've gotten lots of job offers through the platform, even some straight from casting directors. Whether you're an actor, model, entertainer, or just looking to do some extra work, this platform is a fantastic resource to be a part of. I definitely suggest signing up and checking out all the opportunities that are out there.
Annual premium charged without permission
I signed up for a yearly premium membership in January, and now I'm being charged every month without my say. I can't even look for any jobs because it keeps telling me I need to upgrade more...like seriously, how much more upgrading do they want after being a 'premium performer'? And they don't even bother responding to my emails - the email they provide seems to be nonexistent. If they don't give me my money back and take my card details off the site, I'll have to contact trading standards or the police.
Industry job search
The Mandy Network is awesome for finding industry jobs like film, TV, corporate videos, and graphic design. Making an account is simple and easy, so you can start getting jobs right away. I definitely suggest this platform for anyone trying to get into the industry.
Booking work on a platform for years
I've been using this platform to book work for years now. It's been awesome for me to not only find opportunities but also to connect and build relationships with directors. I find it really user-friendly and packed with tons of job opportunities.
Easy audition process
Mandy is amazing when it comes to finding new voiceover gigs! The website is so easy to use, it's super simple to explore and audition for lots of different opportunities. The best part is how it keeps all your auditions organized in one place, saving you time and making the whole process smoother. No more hunting around on different sites for gigs – Mandy has everything you need in one spot!
Free opportunities for new actors
Mandy is like the ultimate go-to website if you're an aspiring actor trying to make it big in the business on your own. It's just full of amazing chances that won't even cost you a penny. I totally suggest checking it out if you're just starting out in the industry.
Sound recordist, competitive industry
The website is filled with all kinds of job postings, from small gigs to higher-paying opportunities. As a sound recordist, I've come across a variety of jobs, showing just how tough the industry can be. Even with the lower-paying gigs, I've still gotten some good responses in the last month. It really shows how well the platform connects freelancers with possible employers.
Showreel and CV platform
Mandy is a great platform for folks in the acting biz who want to flaunt their skills and make connections with industry pros. It might cost ya a bit, but the perks of using Mandy could outweigh the expenses. For actors who are struggling or students, the cost might seem a bit high, but the chances on the site are worth a look. Not only can you upload your showreel and resume to attract potential agents and attend local auditions, but you can also get in on some valuable networking opportunities in the industry. Just gotta be careful, like with any online platform, 'cause there are some scammers out there unfortunately. But if you stay on your toes and report any shady stuff, you can up your chances of scoring auditions with your fave production teams.
Online platform for actors
As someone not in a big city for acting gigs, I've found this online platform really helpful for getting experience and making connections in the industry. There might not be a ton of gigs, but it's still been great for meeting industry folks and getting footage for my portfolio. The website is easy to use, making it simple to put together an online resume to send out to potential employers. I think actors in bigger cities might get more out of this platform, but it's still a solid resource for anyone trying to get their acting career off the ground.
Services for performers
As someone who's used Mandy as a platform for performers, I've gotta say, it's a pretty neat website. It gives performers the power to take charge of their profiles and go after gigs they want. I've been lucky to snag some good jobs through Mandy. But hey, gotta give a heads up to others - not all performers on there are top-notch professionals. Since the agents don't really filter them out, it can be risky picking someone for your projects. Make sure to do your homework on performers and communicate well to make sure things go smoothly. Just a little tip from someone who's been there!
Job platform for creatives
This website is amazing for people like me who are creative! It really helps us find job opportunities that match our skills, with so many options to choose from. I also love the community aspect, getting to connect with others who share the same interests. But I do have one complaint - the monthly fees and commissions are way too high. I think they would bring in more freelancers and make more money if they lowered these costs.
