Computer update software
I recently bought some software to update my computer that I had been neglecting for a while. When I gave it a try, it didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped because I missed some important steps like turning off Windows Defender and my antivirus, and running a scan disk. But when I got stuck, I contacted the help desk for some support. The person I spoke to really knew their stuff and helped me through it all without any trouble. I was really surprised at how quickly they got back to me, even though it was 4 in the morning. In the end, everything worked out great because I followed their instructions and all my stuff transferred over seamlessly.
New computer purchase
I recently got a new computer and thought I'd use a transfer service to move my files and programs from my old one. But it didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. Laplink didn't transfer many important files, like my logins and passwords, which caused me a lot of hassle. Plus, they completely missed some of my specialty programs that I use for work, even though I pay big bucks to keep them up to date. I tried to get help through the chat, but that was a bust and just wasted my time. Overall, my experience with Laplink was a letdown, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
PC Mover Pro purchase
I just bought this migration software to move all my stuff from one computer to another. I did everything like they said, but when I tried to transfer to the new computer I got it from a different store, it just didn't work right. Laplink helped me reset my license once, but it didn't solve the issues and I ended up just getting a new PC from somewhere else. Even after talking to customer service and telling them what happened, they still said I had to buy a new license, even though I didn't even get everything out of the first one. Plus, the software was super slow to use.
PCmover software
I was pretty bummed when I found out that PCmover only works once per license. You gotta buy a new one if you wanna use it again. They didn't tell me that until I tried to use it for the second time. It seems kinda sneaky and I'm not impressed.
Data transfer software
I purchased data transfer software from your company recently and honestly, it was terrible. I should have checked the reviews first. The software didn't transfer a lot of data properly, so I had to spend extra time organizing everything. It was such a waste of time and money. And it automatically connected to Microsoft services like onedrive without asking me, which just made things more annoying. Overall, I was really let down by the product and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone.
Hard to navigate, slow, difficult to install
The website was super annoying to use, man. It was slow as heck and I couldn't find what I was looking for. I had to order a $0 cable just to see if it would even work, which was pretty frustrating. And don't even get me started on how hard the installation process was - it was just not user-friendly at all.
Shipping cost surprise
This company is awful, I swear! They charged me extra for shipping without telling me, and when I wanted to cancel my order, they went ahead and shipped it anyway. Now they want me to pay nearly as much as the shipping cost just to return it and get my money back. The customer service is terrible, they're so rude and acting like everything is my fault. Such a bad experience, honestly!
Pro license purchase
I tried out this Pro license thing and it worked pretty well on my laptops. But when I checked the company website, the price was way too high compared to other online stores. I mean, come on, why you gotta hit me with that? Not cool, man. Next time, I'll just stick to using a hard drive and some different software.
PC sync software with licensing issue
I recently bought this PC sync software that came with my new laptop. It was all good at first, but once my folders went deeper than three levels, the software started acting up. I had to split my sync tasks into three separate ones just to get it to work right. The real issue came when my hard drive crashed, and I had to reinstall the OS on a new one. The software license didn't work, and Laplink's customer service told me I'd have to buy the product again. They did give me a small discount, but it didn't make up for all the trouble and frustration I went through. After dealing with their unreliable product and subpar customer service, I strongly recommend against going with this software. There are better free options out there that offer more reliability and support.
Transfer cable and software
I bought a transfer cable and software to move my stuff to my two new laptops, but it turns out you can only do it once because of a stupid policy! Now I'm stuck with my old laptop and angry at Laplink for making things so complicated. Their support team was not helpful at all!
Laptop transfer using PCmover
I just used PCmover to move everything from my old laptop to my new one, and it was totally worth it. The transfer went really smoothly, with no problems at all. I had some questions before I started, and the customer service was amazing. They answered all my questions quickly and were super helpful. I think some people who had issues with the product maybe didn't follow the instructions properly. They really stress using a laplink cable, so maybe those who didn't use it were trying to save money. Even though it's a bit expensive, the time and effort saved by using PCmover is totally worth it. And the support you get is a big part of the whole experience. I would definitely recommend PCmover to anyone who wants to transfer their data easily.
Useless purchase
I totally regret spending my money on this product a few years ago. I thought it would make transferring files way easier. But now that I tried using it on my new laptop, it's just not working. And the kicker? They're saying I gotta fork out more cash for a new license to get it to work. No way, eh. I'm definitely gonna find a better way to transfer files from now on.
My new software
I just picked up this new software and let me tell you, it was brutal! It took forever to move all my stuff over, and even after I shut off the cloud thingy, it still kept using it. I should have just gone with a good old USB or something, would've been way quicker. And to top it off, Office 2016 didn't even transfer like it was supposed to! I feel totally scammed, dude.
Transfer files from old PC to new PC
The chat support person helped me move the files from my old computer to my new computer. They said that Laplink software doesn't require the old CDs or serial numbers to work on the new computer, but I found out that you actually need all the registration numbers. It ended up being a big waste of time.
Recent office computer upgrade
I upgraded the computer in my office, which is the most important one for me. I followed the instructions and set it up without any problems. The next morning, I made some minor adjustments. The software even analyzed the new computer and needed an update to prevent any issues. I'm really happy with how well it's working.
Laplink USB 3.0 Cable Purchase
Even though I bought the Laplink USB 3.0 cable to make my Wi-Fi networking work better, I was kinda let down that I still had to buy a PCMover license every time I wanted to move stuff between my computers. That extra cost caught me off guard and made me feel like the cable wasn't worth it, even though it did a good job transferring data once I got it set up.
