ServiceI actually noticed the slowdown right away — boot felt heavier and apps took longer, so I panicked a bit. I used it for a week before contacting support; first impression wasn't great. Turns out the helper walked me through a cleanup, and they also sorted out the auto-renew confusion after a short back-and-forth. I remember smiling when they confirmed the subscription cancellation and my laptop sped up; kind of a relief, honestly. Not perfect, but that was the moment I felt satisfied.

ReliabilityI was halfway through a frantic afternoon when the alert popped up — glad I’ve had G Data since a few years back. It used to hog resources, but now it’s pretty light. Licence email arrived fast, and the behaviour blocker caught the threat; support confirmed the rollback the next day. Not perfect, but solid.

ServiceI was halfway through the setup when the app refused to run on my new laptop. I bought it two weeks ago and the download and installer looked clean at first — quick, no nonsense — but no dice after install. Customer service asked for details and then went quiet; I chased a few times. In the end the vendor wouldn't refund, so my card company stepped in and reversed the charge. Not ideal, but I'm relieved I didn’t lose the money. Would prefer quicker support next time.
Long-time user, patchy support

Communicationthe VPN stopped connecting and dealing with support was a slog. Responses were slow and a few of their automated replies even said my messages were "deleted without being read", which was odd. After more than a month of their ineffective suggestions and a short, dismissive note saying they couldn't do more, I found the fix myself — a VPN app setting needed changing — they never suggested it.

App & Portalaccount expired, in-app upgrades refused, licences that wouldn’t activate, uninstall/reinstall the only workaround. I was about ready to jump ship. Then after one more painful renewal attempt (and a call to support), I did a fresh install and, for once, the scans were quick, the CPU barely noticed it, and it actually blocked a dodgy download right away. That little instant — when it just worked and didn’t slow everything down — is when I felt satisfied. I’m still mildly annoyed about their renewal/account flow (seriously, fix it), but the protection itself surprised me in a good way. So: performance yes, process needs work — mixed feelings, honestly.
