Malware removal tool
I recently bought a malware removal tool to clean up my computer, but it ended up giving me some trouble. When I installed the tool on my Windows 11 system, I found corrupt Windows system files on both my drives, even the one I wasn't using. Had to do a full Windows reinstallation to fix everything up. Lucky for me, I've got some know-how with computer fixes, but for someone less experienced, they might've needed a whole new device. Also had a tough time reaching customer support, only got a useless bot. So yeah, definitely won't be using that software again after all the issues.
