I just bought something from a Kickstarter campaign and it was a huge bummer dealing with the customer service afterwards. The product itself was pretty good, but the problems I had post-purchase were really frustrating. The company didn't handle the value declaration and taxes right, so I ended up paying 50% more than the product's price. It was a pain and I was not happy with how everything turned out.
