I've been using science kits for kids aged 7-9 with my children lately. My oldest child really likes these kits and has been looking forward to getting a new one every month. Being a homeschooling parent, I think the lessons included in the kits are a great way to explore science concepts with my child. I recommend going through the lesson booklets together with your child and checking out the online lessons.<br/><br/>Most of the kit pieces are pretty sturdy, but we did have a few fragile parts. For example, we had a valve break once, but we were able to easily replace it. We also had a plastic plate break during assembly because we had to use a lot of force. Despite these little issues, we were still able to use the kits and we've really enjoyed the learning experience they offer.
