Strange return rule, decent reps
Strange return rule, decent reps
Returns & RefundsI actually spotted this on a sale page a friend tipped me to. Figured I'd try the screen protector. When it arrived I opened it and realized it didn't fit my older tablet — could’ve and should’ve checked measurements, sure. Still, the protector was untouched, film on, and I expected an exchange or refund. Instead they said any opened item isn't eligible, without even asking for a photo or the item back. Kinda baffling. The support people themselves were polite and helpful though, and I appreciated that. In the end I tossed it — a waste — and I won't be ordering from them again.
Solid-feel bag, messy warranty
Solid-feel bag, messy warranty
Returns & RefundsI’ve been using this laptop bag for a couple of years and honestly at first I liked it — padded, comfy shoulder strap, pockets where you actually need them. Felt sturdy, held my gear nicely on trips. Then seams started to split and the zipper got gummy, which was annoying because I look after my stuff. I tried the lifetime warranty and got a quick “wear and tear” reply from support after a few photos, no real follow-up. Kinda skeptical at first, then annoyed, but I still use the bag because it’s comfy and does the job. If you buy one, know the feel is good, but be prepared that warranty might not be what you expect.
iPad case
iPad case
Returns & RefundsI'm really disappointed with the iPad case I got for my mom. It broke after hardly any use at all, just one corner snapped off. I gave them the receipt and photos like they asked for, thinking I'd either get my money back or a new one because they advertised a "lifetime warranty." But then they told me it was considered "misuse" and the warranty didn't cover it, even though the corner breaking off was clearly because of a defect in how it was made. I feel so frustrated and tricked, especially since I paid extra thinking I was getting a really good product with a solid warranty.
Laptop bag purchase
Laptop bag purchase
Returns & RefundsI recently bought a laptop bag online, but it turned out to be the wrong size for me. When I reached out to the company to see if I could exchange it for a smaller one, they said no exchanges were allowed. Instead, I would have to pay to ship it back for a refund. Other companies I've dealt with before have allowed exchanges or free returns, so this was disappointing. I ended up sending the bag back for a refund, but was surprised when Targus deducted the initial shipping cost from my refund. I wasn't happy with this policy at all. Overall, I found the whole process of trying to make an exchange to be too difficult and expensive, so I've decided to not buy from Targus online again. In the future, I'll stick to buying from a physical store where I can try out the product and return it if needed without any extra costs.
computer cabin suitcase
computer cabin suitcase
Returns & RefundsI bought a computer cabin suitcase but had to return it, paying the return shipping cost since it didn’t work out for me. I got in touch with their customer service team and they asked for the shipping info. Unfortunately, I lost the receipt from the post office, so they wouldn’t give me a refund. They didn’t even check their system to see if they had received the suitcase. It wasn’t until a few weeks later that I found the shipping document and sent it to them. Finally, they agreed to refund the suitcase, which they had for more than a month. This was my first and last time buying something from them.
Overpriced lifetime warranty
Overpriced lifetime warranty
Returns & RefundsI can't believe I actually shelled out extra money for a "lifetime warranty" that they clearly have no plans to follow through on. What a rip-off! I'm really let down by this product, and I can guarantee you that I won't be buying anything from this company in the future.
