About Smashbox Smashbox
was founded by the grandsons of Max Factor. They did not start out in the make-up industry. Instead, they owned a photography studio is Los Angeles. Quickly rising to prominence, they photographed for fashion campaigns, magazines and record labels.
Their photographs became famous. Many people visited exhibitions of their work in the late 1990s. In 1996, the two brothers launched their make-up brand. The brand’s signature product arrived four years later. It is a primer that makes make-up last longer and look better. Its name, Photo Finish Foundation Primer, exemplifies how the grandsons use their experience in photography to improve cosmetics.
Since 2003, Smashbox Studios hosts a fashion show. Four years later, Smashbox introduced their first transformer product. In 2013, Smashbox starts expanding into foreign markets. Smashbox now also has a lipstick collection designed to last an entire day of shooting.
