Pampered Chef - Reviews and experiences

I signed up at a mall table because I wanted to host a book party to help raise a little money for a community group and, frankly, because I could use the hostess rewards after a recent move and tight budget. The consultant who signed me up promised to call the Monday after the event to set a date — didn’t happen. I called her, she said her kid had been sick and she’d call the next day after work. That also didn’t happen. Meanwhile a friend put an order in online and other friends gave me their orders, thinking they were supporting my party. Turns out a party had been opened in my name without any confirmation, and I didn’t get the hostess points. I eventually got through to home office after a few searches and calls; they asked me to file a complaint and said a field rep would follow up. It’s now been weeks and I still haven’t heard from that rep. The product itself seems fine — the pieces I’ve seen look like they’ll do the job — but the admin side is messy and, honestly, disappointing. I get that people are busy and things happen (kids get sick, life interferes), but the lack of communication and the lost points matter when you were counting on them. I’m still hoping someone takes ownership and fixes it, because the concept works, the product seems okay, but the execution and customer follow-through need to be much better.
