Packed Direct - Reviews and experiences

Overall I'm satisfied with this company — the product works and ordering was straightforward. I buy their heavy yard bags to stash leaves and prunings from my small suburban yard because the council hasn't come to collect for a month, so those bags sit out front until things get sorted. The bank and the council have been annoying lately, but that's not this company's fault. Delivery was on time, price seemed fair, and the bags are holding up. Not glowing, just useful and gives me peace of mind.

I wasn’t sure at first. I read specs and hesitated, thought it might be too basic for my standing-desk setup. Turns out it fits my day-to-day routine pretty well. I use it while answering emails and during short breaks, and the automatic incline is actually handy. A weird thing is the belt isn’t flat at zero incline, so runs feel tougher than expected. Still, for the sale price it’s a good deal. Delivery took longer than promised and I had to wait for an update, but customer service did reply eventually. Would buy again if it’s discounted, not at full price though.

I decided to take a chance because my old treadmill was already given away, figured I'd finally get proper 12 km/h runs. The unit that arrived only goes to 6 km/h. At first the live chat was okay, they asked me to email, and within half an hour someone asked for a video to check the problem. Fine. I sent videos, then other emails asking for a refund and... crickets. They've stopped replying while I'm back to walking-only workouts because the machine is half the speed I paid for. I phoned and they just told me again to email. I've used other retailers with better follow-through, so this is disappointing. If I don't hear back today I'll have to start a chargeback, which is, well, stressful.

Honestly, I won't buy from Packed Direct again. I ordered a glass heater and it arrived with a really poor fitting system — the top has slots for L-shaped brackets but the bottom of the unit has nothing for the lower brackets, so nothing lines up. If I'd seen that in the listing I wouldn't have clicked buy. I messaged them on eBay and sent an email; no phone number, and replies were slow or non-existent. Also, I have trouble with my hands, so the awkward bits and missing H-brackets made assembly nearly impossible for me. The heater itself might be okay once mounted, and maybe others won't care, but the whole experience was a hassle compared to other sellers I've used.
