Laifen - Reviews and experiences

I almost didn't buy this — I first saw it in a neighbourhood shop and a friend actually recommended it. I had my doubts about durability and whether it would beat a Dyson, but after a year it's held up and my wife likes the temp control and the feel more. We did have one Laifen bought locally that failed and got refunded, so I stayed sceptical, but this one mostly delivered. Small hiccups, but overall pleased.

I bought the SE dryer because the specs and the videos made it look like a quiet little thing. I started using it the same day it arrived and, right away, the diffuser made the whole thing sound like a hairdryer from the last decade. So my first impression shifted quickly from "nice and quiet" to "huh, that's loud" (and I kept checking to make sure it wasn't just me). I looked into it and saw mention of different diffusers — one with a perforated metal insert that supposedly cuts noise — so I asked customer support if the Swift's diffuser was quieter than the SE's. That’s where the fun began.
