Birthday blow-dry that ghosted me
Birthday blow-dry that ghosted me
Communicationno answered calls, no replies to emails. I kept imagining a quick morning styling routine and instead did the damp-hair shuffle (not cute). Service felt sloppy and kind of careless; maybe a logistic hiccup, maybe not. Kinda bummed — would’ve appreciated at least a heads-up.

Returns & RefundsHonestly, after my old Laifen died I ordered another and then got two dud replacements — so annoying. I was about to toss the whole thing, but the third replacement actually sprang to life. I remember brushing my teeth that morning, it buzzed properly and my mouth felt genuinely clean; that’s when I relaxed. I use it every morning and chuck it in my gym bag, so reliability matters. Still a bit salty about the returns, but glad it works now.

DeliveryI still can picture the driver setting the box down on the side of the road—literally a quarter mile from my porch—while it poured. By the time I walked over it had vanished. I called FedEx and was told Laifen has to start the claim, which felt odd because in other cases I could file myself. Laifen has had my $105 for ten days and keeps saying they’re "investigating" so I can’t get a straight answer or a refund. I can’t reach a FedEx rep either. It’s been a frustrating runaround; service that drags its feet like this makes me hesitant to order here again, even if the product itself seemed fine.

Returns & Refunds
good first contact, then crickets.
Eventually I looped in the retailer and, after pushing them a bit, they agreed to handle the repair under their own return policies. It wasn’t instant and I had to be persistent, but in the end the shop organised a fix and I didn’t have to buy a new dryer. So my original worry about the warranty being pointless did almost come true, but persistence paid off.
If you’re thinking of buying, check where the warranty applies and get written confirmation from the store up front. My advice: buy from a place that’ll stand behind you, or be prepared to chase emails. Overall, a bit of a headache but not a total loss — still, I’d be more careful next time.

CommunicationI'm actually pretty relieved it turned out alright. I ordered this hair dryer in mid-November and, yep, the ordering was fine, but the rest felt like a slow-moving sitcom. No proactive updates, radio silence for stretches, and a bunch of messages from me to customer support before anything happened. They kept promising my blue one would be back “next week” — ha — that was often not true. After a few weeks of waiting and nudging, they offered a white one instead. I hesitated, said okay, and then...more waiting. Eventually the white dryer arrived, not the blue I wanted, but hey — it works. I started using it the day it showed up and first impression: it’s surprisingly powerful and dries fast, which made me strangely happy after the whole saga. Not perfect build quality — feels a little lighter than I'd hoped — but it gets the job done and I’m actually thankful it wasn't worse. Still, the back-and-forth cost me time and patience. Returning would be a hassle so I kept it; not ideal, but sometimes you pick your battles. I appreciate that the product works and that they did eventually ship something, even if the communication was messy and the stock info was sketchy. Would I order again immediately? Probably not — unless they sort their customer service. But for now I’m glad I stuck it out. Small wins, I guess.
Quiet at last, after a weird ride

ProductI bought the SE dryer because the specs and the videos made it look like a quiet little thing. I started using it the same day it arrived and, right away, the diffuser made the whole thing sound like a hairdryer from the last decade. So my first impression shifted quickly from "nice and quiet" to "huh, that's loud" (and I kept checking to make sure it wasn't just me). I looked into it and saw mention of different diffusers — one with a perforated metal insert that supposedly cuts noise — so I asked customer support if the Swift's diffuser was quieter than the SE's. That’s where the fun began.
