Left waiting, honestly

Delivery

I was on the couch, controller still warm, expecting a box any day — that was a month ago. I signed up and filled my queue the first night, the site felt smooth and adding games was a breeze, so first impression was decent. After two weeks nothing shipped, I messaged support and they said they’d check with the warehouse and escalate. Two more weeks went by and still nothing. I told them I wouldn’t keep paying for a service where my games just sit, they promised 14 days free and to push my orders. No shipments, no free days, and when I cancelled there was no refund. It’s annoying — the app works fine, the idea’s good, but their follow-through really wasn’t.

Used to be steady, now hit-or-miss

Service

it’s flaky, but not hopeless — I haven’t completely given up, even if I should have. I rent new releases to wind down after work and for weekend family game nights, and lately the service just doesn’t match that simple need. Orders that should be quick sit in the queue, newer titles get delayed while older ones get shipped instead, and tracking updates are often stale (so you’re guessing). Returns and replacements drag on, which messes up my plans more than once. On the plus side, when they actually send the right disc it works fine and the selection is still decent sometimes — so yeah, mixed feelings. I pared back how many games I keep active and use it only when I’m not in a rush; hope they sort inventory and shipping, otherwise I’ll drop it.

Waiting game

Delivery

I started using them last summer because the 3–5 day shipping sounded fair — turned out that wasn’t always true. My first order took over 13 days to arrive, which was annoying, but then a replacement shipped and got here in under five days, so go figure. There’s no tracking, which makes me doubt they actually mail stuff when they say they do. I rented a BO7 more recently and after ten business days with nothing showing up I called — and my account got permanently suspended. Strange and frustrating, and yeah I get why they’d do it, but still. The $20 rental isn’t worth waiting half a month to play for a couple of days; I could’ve bought the game. Also, stuff is clearly labelled GameFly, so if it’s getting nicked in transit that wouldn’t help. I’m glad a couple orders worked out, but overall it’s hit-or-miss.

Took a chance, glad I did

Returns & Refunds

some of my returns seemed to vanish and customer support sounded like they were hinting I’d messed up the shipping. I complained, sent proof, back-and-forths... it felt like beating a wall. But then things settled — a supervisor actually looked into a few scans, credits showed up, and replacements came without drama. Still not perfect, and I’d like clearer tracking, but overall my doubts faded. If you’re picky about returns, be prepared to push a bit, but the service did what I needed in the end. Would I sign up again? Probably, but only after checking the fine print.

Queue-satisfaction moment

Product

two movies queued, easy choices, no scrolling forever.
I will say though, the audio thing surprised me. Once the new sound system was actually pumping, streaming files sounded noticeably thinner — they’ve trimmed a lot out to save space, I guess. Discs kept the punch and Atmos bits in a way the streams didn’t for us. So, mild gripe: if you care about sound, consider using physical discs when you can, or at least check which titles are offered in higher-quality formats. Overall I’m grateful it mostly exceeded my expectations; it’s convenient and predictable, which matters. My one friendly tip: use the Queue, try fast return on a test title, and if you have decent speakers, be picky about streaming vs disc — you’ll notice.

Not the worst, but close

Service

things slowed down right around billing cycles, like the delays had a calendar. Could be coincidence, could be sloppiness, but it felt off.

Charged for a disc I never even held

Returns & Refunds

twenty-dollar monthly fee, three months and they’re even, maybe more — fifteen years of loyalty doesn’t count for much, apparently.
I’m left with the actual product experience versus the policy experience: the discs and sleeves are fine generally, the tactile part still works, but the shipping and customer handling failed. In the end I cancelled. Kind of satisfying, actually — not happy about losing a long relationship, but relieved to stop defending something that should have been theirs to fix.
