Great rep, delivery needs work

Deliverya $5,000 unit, $660 shipping, and zero tracking info from FedEx freight. It's three days past the promised delivery, our old machine just died and we're stuck without a replacement. I tried Chef's Deal support and... crickets. I’ve had better freight communication from other suppliers. All said, great sales rep — but they need to sort shipping before I'd order again.

ServiceI can even see it now — mid-December, flour on the counter and my wife pacing because the mixer still hadn’t shown. I’d ordered a different, cheaper model out of worry, but Salma called and laid out a clear plan to get the commercial KitchenAid to us before Christmas. At that point I relaxed a bit, unsure but hopeful. She pushed, got a firm delivery date, and actually made it happen. The moment my wife tore into the box the next weekend and started kneading I knew we’d made the right call — the dough handled so much better and the loaves came out with that bakery crumb we wanted. Now it’s in regular rotation for weekly loaves and the odd pastry. Small relief, big difference — and actually useful every week. We’re seriously happy with it.

Missing cord, decent oven, poor follow-through
Missing cord, decent oven, poor follow-through
Serviceit took four weeks to ship when they’d said a week, and when it showed up it had no electrical cord. So, useless until we paid a licensed electrician $578 (plus some extra labour from our contractor) to jury-rig it so the kitchen could open. The oven itself cooks fine — that part I’m actually relieved about — but the customer service wasn’t helpful. I sent invoices and asked for a replacement cord overnight; they refused to cover anything or expedite. In the end the equipment does the job and we’re glad the purchase wasn’t a total waste, but the lack of responsibility and the delays were annoying and costly. Would’ve preferred clearer communication and actually standing behind a big sale like this.
