But there's a moment in this whole saga where I actually breathed out and thought, okay, that works. Weirdly satisfying, and worth writing about.

I'm actually glad I stuck with this one. I stayed home on Boxing Day after getting a text that my parcel would arrive, then the tracking suddenly said it was signed for by someone I didn't know. Of course I nagged customer service, and at first the replies were the usual "under investigation" — which drove me nuts, but hey, holiday delays happen. What I didn't expect was how it all turned around after a few more messages. They escalated it, found the mix-up (someone at the local depot had scanned wrong), and offered a re-shipment plus a small credit for the trouble. That little credit — not huge, but actually thoughtful — was a nice surprise and made me feel they cared a bit more than I expected. I won't pretend it was seamless: I was annoyed, I messaged more than once, and I did worry the gift would be ruined. But the customer rep who followed up felt human, kept me in the loop the last couple days, and the replacement showed up sooner than I dared hope. Compared to other sites where I got radio silence, this was a step up. So yeah, start-to-finish wasn't perfect, but the final fix and that unexpected gesture turned a pretty bad moment into something I can actually recommend, cautiously but genuinely.
