Moving-day Wi‑Fi surprise
Moving-day Wi‑Fi surprise
Product15–20 Mbps while my phone and Mac were happily at 80 in the same spot. I tried the usual stuff — driver resets, BIOS tweaks, the whole routine — and yep, the support script was the same. The forums were full of people with the same antenna gripe, so it’s not user error. Support’s answer? Warranty’s over, buy a USB adapter, or ship it to China. Kinda funny if it weren’t annoying. I’m actually grateful Ethernet never failed me (saved my deadlines), but I’m left feeling duped on the wireless front and disappointed with the company’s follow‑through. If you need reliable Wi‑Fi out of the box, this one’s risky. If you only care about wired, fine — just know what you’re buying. I’ve had better experiences with other brands for the same price, so buyer beware.

Servicenot perfect, a hassle to get there, but in the end it worked out and I can recommend them if you don’t mind persistent follow-up.

Productbenchmarks would start fine and then I’d get stutters, the network would drop, and sometimes the whole machine would freeze and need a reboot. Ran a few stressful GPU/compute tests and it was repeatable. My read is that it’s not a driver hiccup but something physical — traces, power routing or PCIe lane/power distribution — that trips under load, so firmware updates don’t help. The only way I got stable behaviour was to disable that NIC in BIOS, which means losing the two 10GbE ports (one of the main reasons I bought it). That’s a dealbreaker if you needed those ports. Support has been slow and evasive, like they’re buying time until the return window closes, which is frustrating — I’ve had better and worse experiences with other vendors, but this one leans worse so far. I’m debating full return vs. partial refund and using a TB4-to-10GbE adapter instead. If you want raw performance and no networking needs, fine; if you need reliable onboard 10GbE, I’d hold off.
Small box, big hassle

Productneat little machine, sits out of the way, not loud. That didn't last. Over a few weeks the main problem that kept popping up was the HDMI output — sometimes no signal, sometimes flicker, sometimes it just refused to recognise a monitor at all. That single failure mode caused a chain reaction: blue screens, random shutdowns, and units running hotter than you'd expect for such a small unit.

I saved a noticeable chunk by buying directly. That mattered, especially since the configuration I wanted wasn’t listed everywhere else. So that’s a practical win. Delivery was quick once they confirmed stock nearby, and the whole process didn’t involve surprises or extra customs paperwork — exactly what I hoped for.
If I have to nitpick, I’d say the documentation in the box could be a touch clearer. A one-page quick-start that’s actually helpful would be nice. But that’s minor given how smoothly everything else worked.
So, in short: I started doubtful, then pleasantly surprised, and now pretty happy. The silence is the standout for me. If you’re on the fence because of noise or shipping worries, I’d say give this model a look. My only advice: double-check the exact RAM/SSD options available where you buy — saves a bit of time.
