Ancient Greek Sandals - Reviews and experiences

Really glad I went ahead with this order. I was braced for trouble — I’ve had returns go sideways with other retailers before. The sandals were too big so I sent them back; I downloaded the return label and then saw the parcel linger at Athens airport for almost three weeks, which made me nervous. In the end customer service helped, tracked things down and processed my refund, so it all worked out. Took longer than expected, but I'm relieved and would still give them another shot.

Not worth the hassle — fast delivery, but returns are a mess. I ordered sandals that showed up in about three days, and at first I was okay with that. Then I realised they were too small and oddly heavy, so I started a return and got an RMA with paperwork. Problem is no carrier would accept that return note — UPS, DHL, Canada Post, none of them. If I don’t want to pay Klarna I’m expected to pay €16 to send them back. I’ve had smoother returns elsewhere, so yeah, disappointing.

don't expect a full refund if you return stuff to them — I ended up out a chunk for customs that they wouldn't cover. I first saw the sandals on a friend's Instagram and ordered without thinking about import rules. The website never mentioned non-refundable duties, and only after I complained they quietly added the line. Customer service was awkward and stuck to the new policy, so I lost £35 returning a £140 pair. I'm glad the shoes themselves were fine, and at least delivery was quick, but overall it's disappointing. Still thankful it wasn't worse.
