It arrived, fit fine, and everything finally looked right on my end. I still had to chase the Foscarini base; that one took longer and there were times I thought they weren’t even trying. So yes, relief when the first base showed up, and honest — that’s what changed my mind. I did tell a neighbour about the lamps along the way, but warned them about the shipping hiccup. Emotionally, it was a ride — annoyed turned relieved. Company could be clearer and faster, but when they follow through, it does make a difference.

The other problem is still ongoing: a sideboard and two floor lamps were supposedly dispatched and DHL’s tracking said “delivered,” but not to me. Turns out it went to an address in Germany, not to my place in the Netherlands — yes, that happened. DHL and the retailer kept passing responsibility back and forth; phone waits were long, and some reps were brusque. So there’s money tied up and items I don’t have yet. Long story short: they have a great selection and decent prices, but customer service and delivery are hit-or-miss and require persistence. If you buy, expect to chase them if something goes sideways. It’s not all terrible — the product quality can be good and the warranty can be honoured — but be prepared for friction and slow responses.
