Quiet victory in the morning light
Quiet victory in the morning light
Overall
I’m actually satisfied. Not temporarily pleased, not just relieved for a week, but genuinely content. I remember laughing to myself because for years January 1st meant a new resolution, a new panic about losing weight. This time, no list, no drama. Pure relief, mostly quiet, and oddly freeing for the heart and head.
I started with a very small dose of Mounjaro through Science & Humans, under Abida’s care, and stayed on that low amount. I’m 75 now, and never thought I’d feel better than I did at 35 — but honestly, my energy and my mood are better, my brain feels clearer, and I move more easily. It’s not magic; it’s a tool that actually helped me form habits that stuck. After a couple months I simply didn’t want to go back to old snacks and late-night nibbling. The cravings got quieter. The nitpicky thoughts that used to nag me about food? Mostly gone. I still take a tiny half-dose every six to eight weeks, mostly as a reminder to that shy part of my brain. It’s a small cost for the steadiness I’ve found.
Practical bits: I keep a periodic membership for regular bloodwork and prescription renewals — that part feels sensible, even if sometimes the scheduling could be a little smoother. Abida has been consistently well-informed about GLP products and very steady in her advice. The staff at S&H have been professional and kind; there were small delays once or twice but nothing that undermined my trust. I do wish the membership admin was a bit less fussy, that’s the mild critique I have — otherwise, solid care.
What I use this for is day-to-day life: being able to shop without the stress, to enjoy meals without obsessive counting, to take walks with more energy, and to wear clothes that don’t pinch. I’m grateful — really grateful — that this worked out. It feels like a partnership: the medication, the clinic, and me learning to live differently. I’ll stay on with S&H for check-ins, probably just a couple times a year now, and I’m happy about that. Thank you to Abida and the team for the steady support that let me get here.
