Oddly calm consult

Service

I was sceptical before booking; a friend tipped me and I checked her profile online. Meeting was calm. She listened and answered everything. Not rushed. Most doubts gone.

Solid visit, small hiccup

Communication

Needed help for constant back pain; the NP was calm, practical and knew her stuff, listened and answered my questions — follow-up was somewhat vague, had to ask twice.

Gender mix-up and slow replies

Communication

I signed up because the site looked clean and the fee seemed fair. Paid, filled things out and thought that was that. About a day later I got the blood requisition and it had my sex listed wrong and a testosterone panel on it. That’s the one detail that bothered me most — offering hormone-related care and not getting basic patient info right feels risky. I checked my account, retraced every step, nothing asked for gender explicitly so I kept wondering how they decided. I emailed support. They answered after a couple of days with an apology and offered to send a corrected form. I said yes. Then silence. I’ve followed up a couple times since and still no corrected paperwork four days later. There’s a small part of me that liked the straightforward layout and price, but the communication and that initial error killed my confidence. If you need prompt, careful handling for hormones, this wasn’t it for me.

Halfway relief

Service

Sat in the chair and halfway through I relaxed — she actually listened and gave practical, calm advice. I felt lighter already before meds. Not flawless, follow-up was vague but really helpful.

Finally some clarity

Quality

Right in the middle of the follow-up call, when they walked me through the bloodwork and I actually understood what was happening, I relaxed. I went in because perimenopause had me exhausted and my last clinic was useless, so I was skeptical. The instructions were plain, the plan felt sensible, and the explanation made the symptoms click. Not flashy, but it works — I’m ready to start.

Quiet victory in the morning light

Overall

I’m actually satisfied. Not temporarily pleased, not just relieved for a week, but genuinely content. I remember laughing to myself because for years January 1st meant a new resolution, a new panic about losing weight. This time, no list, no drama. Pure relief, mostly quiet, and oddly freeing for the heart and head.
I started with a very small dose of Mounjaro through Science & Humans, under Abida’s care, and stayed on that low amount. I’m 75 now, and never thought I’d feel better than I did at 35 — but honestly, my energy and my mood are better, my brain feels clearer, and I move more easily. It’s not magic; it’s a tool that actually helped me form habits that stuck. After a couple months I simply didn’t want to go back to old snacks and late-night nibbling. The cravings got quieter. The nitpicky thoughts that used to nag me about food? Mostly gone. I still take a tiny half-dose every six to eight weeks, mostly as a reminder to that shy part of my brain. It’s a small cost for the steadiness I’ve found.
Practical bits: I keep a periodic membership for regular bloodwork and prescription renewals — that part feels sensible, even if sometimes the scheduling could be a little smoother. Abida has been consistently well-informed about GLP products and very steady in her advice. The staff at S&H have been professional and kind; there were small delays once or twice but nothing that undermined my trust. I do wish the membership admin was a bit less fussy, that’s the mild critique I have — otherwise, solid care.
What I use this for is day-to-day life: being able to shop without the stress, to enjoy meals without obsessive counting, to take walks with more energy, and to wear clothes that don’t pinch. I’m grateful — really grateful — that this worked out. It feels like a partnership: the medication, the clinic, and me learning to live differently. I’ll stay on with S&H for check-ins, probably just a couple times a year now, and I’m happy about that. Thank you to Abida and the team for the steady support that let me get here.

Started rough, fixed

Complaints

I waited past the expected time for a prescription and had to chase a bloodwork requisition myself, which felt sloppy. They also billed me twice for the new order, but after a few calls they finally refunded the extra charge. Not ideal—document everything and be persistent.
