Late and incorrect shipment
Late and incorrect shipment
ReliabilityThe service at this store was just terrible, eh? I had to wait for over a month for my order to even ship, and when it finally arrived, they sent me the wrong items. The lack of communication and customer service was totally unacceptable. I definitely won't be shopping at this store again, that's for sure.
Lost online order, store pick-up
Lost online order, store pick-up
ReliabilitySo, I gotta tell you about this thing that happened to me when I ordered online from Gymboree. At first, I was happy about the good deals they had, so I chose the store pick-up option for convenience. But get this, turns out the store I picked had closed down for good. I contacted their sister store, Children's Place, and gave them my order number. They said my package was lost and promised me a refund. But guess what? Haven't seen a refund or even an email about cancelling the order. This has put me in a tough spot because I got summer stuff and swimsuits for a family trip, and now we're stuck without clothes or the cash to buy new ones. Overall, my experience with Gymboree has been super disappointing and irritating.
Sentimental item lost in package, delayed replacement order
Sentimental item lost in package, delayed replacement order
ReliabilityI had a really bad experience with this one store recently. I ordered something special for my daughter, but the package got lost while it was being shipped. I contacted customer service after waiting for 10 days, but they told me I had to wait the full 14 days before they could do anything. By the time they finally agreed to send a replacement, the item my daughter wanted was all sold out in her size. And now, it looks like the replacement order is lost too! It's been so frustrating and disappointing dealing with all of this. I've decided I won't be shopping from this store anymore, and I'll avoid any businesses that use USPS to deliver packages in the future.
Twin PJ sets for twins
Twin PJ sets for twins
ReliabilityI ordered four PJ sets for my twins from this company, with the expectation that they would arrive by December 13th. However, I got an update saying that the delivery was delayed until maybe December 22nd, just a few days before Christmas when I didn't need them anymore. The delivery service, OnTrac, said they didn't even have the package. When I asked the company to send out new sets with me paying for rush shipping, they said no. This whole thing was really annoying and let me down. I'm going to make sure I tell others about this company on all my social media accounts.
$200 order, shipping error
$200 order, shipping error
ReliabilityThis has to be the worst customer service and online ordering experience I've ever had, eh. I made a $200 order and somehow they shipped it to an address I haven't lived at in 8 years, can you believe it? I tried to let them know right away, but instead of fixing it and sending it to the right address, they told me to contact UPS. To make a long story short, my order ended up at someone else's place and now I can't even get a response from them. I definitely don't recommend ordering from these guys, eh.
Online order never received
Online order never received
ReliabilityMy recent online order never showed up, even though I got a confirmation email and tracking number. I called the delivery company, but they just told me to talk to the store's customer service. When I did, they said there was nothing they could do and that I'd have to ask my bank for a refund. It was really annoying and a letdown, because I was excited to get my stuff.
About Gymboree
Gymboree is an American retail company specializing in children's apparel and accessories. Founded in 1976 by Joan Barnes as a provider of play and music classes for infants and young children, the brand expanded into children's clothing in 1986. Over the years, Gymboree grew to include several brands under its umbrella, including Janie and Jack and Crazy 8. However, facing financial difficulties, Gymboree filed for bankruptcy in 2017 and again in 2019, leading to the closure of all its stores. The brand was later acquired by The Children's Place, which relaunched Gymboree in 2020 as an online-focused retailer. Gymboree is known for offering high-quality, colorful, and coordinated children's clothing that appeals to both parents and kids.
