Wyzant - Reviews and experiences

I love using the online tutoring platform to help me with my homework. The tutors are really nice and explain things well. It's just frustrating when the pen tablet doesn't work on the whiteboard and I can't write properly. Some tutors also struggle with using all the cool features like screen sharing, which makes the lessons a bit slower.

I signed up to be a tutor on Wyzant, but they deactivated my account with no explanation. It was such a waste of my time and effort. I really should've checked out the reviews on Trustpilot before going ahead with it.

My time on the tutoring platform was really disappointing. Even though I have the right qualifications, I felt like the process of getting approved was unclear and annoying. I put so much effort into making a thorough profile with test results, videos, and responses to student inquiries, only to have my account suddenly shut down with no reason given. As a well-qualified tutor with advanced degrees, it was a terrible experience that I would warn others about.

I spent a lot of time setting up my profile on this tutoring website, eh? I had to do all these tests and even uploaded a photo. But later when I tried to log in, I found out that my account was deactivated! I was so confused and upset, especially since they didn't even tell me why. The customer service just gave me a vague answer and said I could reapply in 6 months. What a waste of time, eh? I'm never using this site again, that's for sure.
