Online purchase disappointment
I just bought something online and I was so upset that they didn't let me know about the charges beforehand. Most places usually give you a heads-up before they take your money or offer refunds if you're not happy with what you got. But not this company. The customer service people just kept pointing to their terms of service, like it was some kind of escape. It felt like a total rip-off to me. I think it's better to check out other options out there instead of dealing with them.
My order got rejected
So, eh, I was trying to order something online, but then I got a message saying they're not accepting orders from my location. Like, for real? I just wanted to buy something, why you gotta be like that, eh?
Ghost hunter season ticket
I just bought a season pass for ghost hunting and I have to say, I am really impressed with the quality and service I got. Caption service purchase
I just used a caption service for a video project and boy was I disappointed with the whole thing. The service didn't follow the rules, and the customer service was not helpful at all. I paid a lot of money and all they did was add two punctuation marks to my video. When I asked for my money back, they wouldn't budge, so I had to take them to court. I'm in the middle of suing them now and reporting them to the right agency. I won't be using their service again and I suggest others stay away too.
Freelance registration process
The website was super easy to use, eh, and I had no trouble linking up my PayPal account without having to share any personal details. But, when I tried to apply for a job as a freelancer, I hit a snag. After sending in my application, I got an email saying it might take around 12 weeks to get a response. They also mentioned that my shot at freelancing depended on how well I did on a test they'd give me. It seemed like a bit of a long process, but I figure good things come to those who wait, eh.
Oscar screening room selection
As a newcomer to the AMPAS screening room rules, I messed up my picks at first. But thankfully, the tech person there helped me fix it, giving me a good outcome. Got an email from AMPAS saying I was good to go, so fingers crossed my movie lands on the 'action-live' short film list! Big thanks for the quick help and great service.
Typing job
I was chatting with Rev and it was awesome, but then they shut down my account just because I moved to Africa. I was doing such a good job, but now I can't work anymore. Can I still work for them from Africa?
assignment transcribing my school project
It's alright, eh, but I really wish I could upload my files before I order, you know? It's kind of annoying having to wait until I'm all set to place my order. I prefer to upload them as I go instead of dealing with them later. It just ends up being more work for me to tidy and organize them after. It's pretty frustrating not being able to upload ahead of time because it slows things down and makes it more difficult for me, eh.
Multiple wins
I've been messing around on this website for a bit, and I've had some pretty good luck. I've scored a couple of prizes, like a fancy bracelet and some top-notch electronics. There was a little hiccup with one of my winnings, but they fixed it up right away by giving me the cash value. All in all, I've had a good time with this site and the customer service was on point.
Captioning tool subscription
I tried out the captioning tool for a school project, but I totally forgot to cancel my subscription. So I reached out to Customer Service to explain what happened, but they only gave me a refund for the last month and wouldn't budge on anything else, even though I haven't used the service since 2022. I think their policy is pretty sketchy and I'm really let down by their values.

Transcribed Ukrainian interview
The folks over at Rev are seriously amazing. I was blown away by how they managed to accurately figure out who was speaking, even when dealing with tricky Ukrainian names written in English.
