Used to like it, but it's getting unreliable
Used to like it, but it's getting unreliable
ReliabilityI'm done relying on this for work. It looked fine at first, but lately it's been a pain mid-call or when I just want to check my bank. You can't pick which server you hit anymore, so if a site blocks Proton's IP you're stuck. I use Linux every day, and the native app still feels like an afterthought. They tell you to use WireGuard, sure, but setting that up is fiddly and when a config drops you waste time swapping files — not great during a client meeting. Some configs never connect, DNS seems iffy sometimes, and IPv6 feels unsupported. When it works it's okay and a bit faster, but too often it doesn't. Time to shop around, sadly.
