I was standing at my kitchen sink with a trash bag full of squishy grapefruit and I remember thinking, ok, this is enough. I'd ordered from them a number of times over the last year and a half — mostly grapefruit, one pears incident that was awful — and usually it was fine, at least tolerable. But this last batch took forever to arrive because they said they'd wait until the fruit was ripe. When it finally showed up, half the box was moldy and the rest were hard and totally dry inside. I tossed close to 40 pieces. I wasn't risking anyone's stomach, so yeah, I threw them all out. Then I placed another order later and got an email saying they'd cancelled me and barred future orders. No explanation, no chance to return the fruit, and they apparently don't publish bad reviews. That was maddening. What finally made me feel satisfied — not happy, but satisfied — was when my credit card company stepped in and the refund hit my account. I remember checking my balance and feeling this weird relief, like at least someone acknowledged I didn't get what I paid for. It doesn't erase the waste or the time spent, and the company's behaviour still feels off and shady, but getting the money back was the moment I stopped stewing. If you're thinking of ordering, take pictures right away, keep receipts, and be ready to open a dispute if needed. Also, don't assume silence means it's okay — be persistent. It's not perfect service by any stretch; they could've handled it better, posted reviews honestly, and not cancel customers without a word. But the refund made me stop feeling like I had no recourse.
