Simple monitoring system
Simple monitoring system
App & PortalThe monitoring system is really flexible, but it might be too much for beginners who might need to spend a lot of time figuring it out. It wasn't right for me because I just wanted something to keep an eye on my network and server.
Network monitoring software
Network monitoring software
App & PortalAs a customer of Paessler, I gotta say that I found the older version of the software way easier to use than the new one. The previous version let me keep an eye on my network switches and their bandwidth using SNMP, which was super important for my job. The layout of the old version was simple and easy to figure out, making it a breeze to find what I needed. Plus, the user/group security settings in the old version were a lot more user-friendly and easier to set up.
User interface design and features
User interface design and features
App & PortalI think the user interface of this product is really confusing and not very easy to figure out. There's a bunch of features, but trying to find them all is kinda hard. I hope they make the interface better in the next version, so it's simpler and more user-friendly.
Monitoring software
Monitoring software
App & PortalI bought this monitoring software, but it's not super user-friendly. I'm still trying to figure out how to monitor my Linux stuff because it keeps thinking everything is for Windows.
Software review
Software review
App & PortalI thought the software's user interface was a bit of a pain to navigate. It felt cluttered, slow, and not very easy to use. It was kind of frustrating how it seemed to hog up a lot of resources and didn't respond quickly. I can't really comment on the installation process since I didn't set it up myself. But I've used other open-source monitoring tools before that were way quicker and smoother to operate.
Free monitoring for home-use
Free monitoring for home-use
App & PortalPRTG is a really useful tool for keeping an eye on things at home, eh. You get 100 free sensors to work with, which is pretty sweet. It makes it simple to check up on my servers and deal with any problems that come up in a jiffy. The error messages are easy to understand and tell me exactly what's happening, so I don't have to waste time digging through log files. Plus, the community and forums are super handy for fixing any technical troubles, like that pesky SSH connection issue I had. All in all, I'm happy with how well PRTG works for monitoring my home setup.
