PC migration software purchase
So I just bought this PC migration software from the company's website, and I gotta say, I was pretty let down. I've tried out similar software in the past, so I figured I'd give this one a shot, but man, the price was way steeper than what other companies are offering. And get this - after I bought it, I found out I could've gotten the exact same thing for way cheaper somewhere else! This whole inconsistent pricing thing has really soured me on the whole experience, so I think I'll be looking into other options next time.
Transfer software purchase
I recently got this transfer software to help me move all my stuff from my old laptop to my new one. It was super easy and quick, everything got moved over accurately with no issues. Even though I read some bad reviews, as long as you follow the instructions, it's all good. Some folks might not realize you need a laplink cable for the transfer, but it's worth it to have the right gear for a smooth process. Yeah, the software might be a bit pricey, but the time saved and the help you get is totally worth it. Honestly, I'd totally recommend this software to anyone who wants an easier time upgrading to a new device.
PCmover only works once
I bought PCmover the other day and I wasn't too happy about finding out that it can only be used once before needing a new license. They didn't mention this important info until I tried to use it a second time. I feel like I was tricked and lied to because they weren't clear from the beginning.
PC migration software purchase
I just bought some migration software to move all my files to my new computer. But I ran into a bunch of problems with the software and the new PC I got from a different store. Laplink did reset my license one time, but I still had trouble getting all my data transferred over. And now, to top it off, the drive on my new computer is busted. When I contacted customer service, they weren't very helpful and kept saying I had to buy a new license, even though the first one didn't even work properly for me. It was a real pain and took forever to deal with.
PC Sync OEM version
Got PC Sync OEM version with my new laptop. I tried to sync it with my Workstation, but ran into trouble because some of the directories had more than three levels. I had to split up the sync jobs into three separate ones. Then my hard drive crashed, so I had to reinstall the OS, but the license failed. Laplink told me the product was no longer supported, so I would have to buy it again. They did offer me a small discount, but it wasn't very helpful since my other PC still had PC Sync and no parent system. Overall, I found it to be an unreliable product with poor customer support. I suggest avoiding it and using something better and free instead.
Hidden Shipping Costs
It was really disappointing dealing with this company, eh. They didn't tell me about the £21 shipping cost until after I bought it, eh. When I wanted to cancel, they still sent it and now want me to pay £20.88 to return it for a refund, eh. The customer service folks were useless and made it seem like it was my fault, eh. All in all, a super frustrating and unsatisfactory time, eh.
Software for data transfer
The data transfer software I bought was a real pain to figure out. It was super slow and I even had to go and buy a cable for like, nothing just to see if that would help with setting it up. Honestly, the whole thing was just really frustrating and definitely not as smooth as I was expecting.
Software transfer experience
My experience with the software transfer service was not great. Even though I followed the instructions closely, it took way longer than I thought it would. On top of that, I ran into problems with the transfer through One Drive, which was supposed to be deactivated. I realized that I could have done the transfer quicker by using an external hard drive or a memory stick.
Computer update software
The software made updating my computer super easy. At first, I had some trouble because I didn't follow all the steps they suggested, but the help desk team was so helpful and quick to respond. They even helped me at 4 am right away. In the end, everything transferred smoothly, so it was a really good experience.
PCSync laplink, waste of money, new laptop
I bought the PCSync laplink software a couple of years back, thinking it would be a breeze to move my files between gadgets. But when I gave it a shot on my fresh laptop, it bombed. I reached out to customer service and they dropped the bomb - I had to fork out for a new license to make it work with my new device. That really got my goat, especially since I already coughed up cash for the first software. From now on, I’ll be hunting for other ways to shift my files around and definitely won’t be coughing up any more dough for this company.
Transfer software purchase
This transfer software was just awful! I should have checked the reviews first. It didn't transfer a lot of my data, and it would have been faster and easier just to use an external hard drive. It felt like it was connected to a big company and kept pushing me to use onedrive, even though I didn't want to. When I tried deleting files on onedrive, they disappeared from my hard drive too, wasting even more time. Uninstalling the software was a nightmare, like dealing with Norton. These tech companies act like they're looking out for us, but really they're just serving themselves. This software was a complete waste of my time and money.
File transfer software
I just bought some file transfer software from Laplink Software and I reached out to their chat support for help with transferring files from my old PC to the new one. Laplink said you don't need any old CDs/DVDs or serial numbers for the transfer, but turns out I did need all the registration numbers to use the transferred software. It was kind of a letdown and made the whole process feel like a waste of time and effort.
Computer upgrade software
I'm really happy with the computer upgrade software I bought. It was super easy to set up and use, and it gave me great results. The software checked out my new machine, needed an update before starting to prevent any problems, and it even remembered the files connected to certain apps. I just had to make a few small adjustments and everything was running perfectly. It didn't move over my passwords, but that was an easy fix that only took about five minutes. Overall, I'm really impressed with how well this software works.
Got new computer
So I got this new computer, eh? And I wanted to transfer all my cool stuff from my old one to my shiny new one. But like, lap link totally dropped the ball, man. It didn't transfer my login and password files, which is like, so not cool. Plus, it straight up ignored some special programs that I paid big bucks to have on my old computer. And don't even get me started on trying to use the chat for help, because that was a total waste of time, eh. Overall, not impressed at all.
USB cable purchase
So, I grabbed this USB cable because their software was not cooperating with my Wi-Fi, and it ended up working great with my computer. But then I discovered that I have to cough up some cash for a license every time I want to move files between computers, which is just not cool at all. Now, my pricey cable is just gathering dust. I am really not impressed!
Transfer cable and software purchase
I just bought a transfer cable and software from Laplink to move files to my two new laptops. But, man, was I let down big time! The software has this dumb rule where you can only transfer files once. Like, what the heck is that about? So not cool. I'm so ticked off and feeling totally unsatisfied with my purchase. I'm never buying from them again and to be honest, I'd tell others to stay away from their stuff because of these ridiculous policies. On top of that, their customer support was pretty useless and didn't know squat, which just made everything worse.
