Barebarics - Reviews and experiences

I'm keeping these. I bought them on a work trip to Europe and started wearing them the week after I got home. First impression was cautious — they looked sharper in person than photos, which made me roll my eyes a bit — but when I tried them on they fit unusually well right away. Toe box is roomy (actual room, not the usual fake room), there’s sensible arch support and the heel has just enough cushioning to not feel like walking on boards. I usually size up with most brands because of toe squeeze; not here — true size worked fine. I was half expecting them to feel flimsy; instead the stitching and materials look like they’ll last (I poked and prodded like a weirdo). Minor quibble: the tongue is a tad stiff at first and there was a faint factory smell that faded after a day. Delivery was quick, ordering process was straightforward. Started off sceptical about the hype, ended up reasonably pleased — not ecstatic, but definitely worth the money for daily wear. I’ll buy a spare soon.
