Small win, but still burned
Small win, but still burned
PriceI signed up through Ancestry to check some family records — needed them for family history research and figured seven days would be enough to test. I cancelled within the trial but still got charged, which is frustrating and felt like being led into a trap (yeah, bitter). The annoying part is the tie between sites; one was unhelpful, but oddly the billing team responded quickly and offered a partial refund. Won't risk it again

Priceit kept saying my email wasn’t recognised, I tried again, tried to update details, it kept rejecting me, and yes, they still charged me. Support apologised, cancelled the membership, said the charge was non-refundable. So useful content, clumsy billing. Not a scam maybe, but not seamless either.
