Booked for Feb, got March — awkward timing
Booked for Feb, got March — awkward timing
Servicethe date on the ticket was March 22, not Feb 22 like I picked. I checked twice — no, I hadn't accidentally chosen March — and that was the first real annoyance. Tried customer service right away. They were polite enough but basically said I had selected March and couldn't help because of their non-refundable rule. I explained the timing — I was literally there in February — and suggested maybe their system glitched. No luck. So my doubts about the booking UI turned into a real problem, and my hope they'd make an exception disappeared pretty quickly (slowly, painfully). A bit of humour helps, but not when you can't use what you paid for. I'm disputing with my bank now. If you book through them, triple-check the date, and brace yourself for a rulebook response if anything goes sideways.

DeliveryI ordered an Oyster card on Oct 5 and pretty much checked the mailbox every day. I put Oct 13 as the “date of departure” and didn't realise VisitBritain/Post Office actually work to that date — my fault. Nothing showed up on the 9th, 11th or 12th so I started to think I’d been scammed, which was annoying. It did arrive on the 13th though, right on time, and it made my daily sightseeing and tube commutes so much easier — saved me queuing every morning. Not flawless because of the worry, but overall efficient. I'll tell friends to allow that date buffer.

Weirdly, I almost didn't buy this. I needed a few gift cards for family while I was in the middle of a move, so I was nervous — and I'd been burned before, so yeah, total skeptic. The site is glossy and kind of glitchy. I spent time typing long numbers and it showed balances but no tickets. Support took a couple of days to reply and asked for proof. Finally they sent the tickets and they worked. Not perfect, and it took patience, but the saving was real. I'd use it again, more careful next time.
