Halfway hooked

Product

I was halfway through my third row when I realized I actually liked this thing. I first saw it at a friend’s basement gym and ended up telling my sister to try it (she did). The stroke felt smooth and, oddly, it was quieter than the rowers I usually use — that little surprise made me smile. Later a tiny screw under the seat snapped and the repair quote was absurdly high, so yeah, mixed feelings, but for regular use I was pretty pleased.

Half here, half in limbo

Delivery

I was halfway through unpacking last Saturday when I noticed half my order was missing. The bits that did arrive I started using right away - they feel solid, a bit heavy, decent finish, not fancy but they do the job. I've been using them for small jobs this week. I contacted customer service and was told someone would follow up, but nothing came - no email, no update. It's frustrating; it works, but the silence and uncertainty about a refund or the missing pieces is annoying.

Payment suspense

Mid-set hiccup

Service

Halfway through a set the console froze and I just stood there, waiting like an idiot. I needed that machine—my physio had me on very specific loads for a sore lower back—so it wasn’t just annoying, it actually mattered. Gym staff logged it with Technogym over two weeks ago; I called and emailed a few times and mostly got the boring “it’s been reported” reply. In the end local staff sorted it with a quick phone nudge from Technogym, five minutes and done. Happy it’s fixed, but two weeks for a tiny software tweak was a bit much.

Tech claims vs my Samsung

App & Portal

if you have a Samsung, wait or at least hide that sync option until fixed.

Almost walked past

Service

Walking into my gym one afternoon I spotted their machines and almost walked past. A friend had mentioned Technogym, but I was sceptical — looked expensive and a bit hyped. I went ahead and bought though, mostly because the staff were patient and helped with on-site moving, which I didn't expect. The technicians even stayed until 8 pm to finish setup. That really eased my doubts. The equipment runs smooth. Price still feels a bit steep, but I'm glad it worked out and I’ll tell others about it.

Feels like my gym at home

Delivery

quiet motor, comfy handles, the screen is easy to use (I’m not that techy). The showroom staff were great and patient, which helped a lot. Delivery was bumpy at first — they missed an appointment and that annoyed me — but after about a week they came back, sorted the install and the tech knew exactly what to do. Took longer than I hoped, sure, but I’m glad I stuck with it; way better than some sketchy buys I’ve had before.

Finally got closure

Returns & Refunds

a manager actually listened, arranged a proper technician visit and agreed to sort the motor instead of charging me extra bits. The real moment I relaxed was when the refund showed up in my account and the tech stayed to test it properly — that was when I knew they weren’t going to fob me off. Still a bit annoyed about the hassle and the time lost, but relieved overall. Would have liked clearer upfront info on repairs, though. Human reaction: glad it ended well, and I can finally use it without worry.

That one time my elliptical let me down (then got rescued)

Service

I got a string of excuses and the line that it was “cosmetic,” which didn’t sit right with me at all. I felt like I was being brushed off to save a few bucks, and I wasn’t thrilled about having to buy replacement parts that should’ve lasted longer. So I did what a lot of us do—I wrote to their support, then to social media when that didn’t get me anywhere fast. That seemed to wake people up. Credit where it’s due: the care team eventually reached out properly, apologised, and escalated my case to their parts division. They sent a work order and the replacement parts showed up. Delivery itself was fine once things were moving; quicker than I expected considering the back-and-forth. Emotionally it was a bit of a roller coaster—I was annoyed, then relieved, and a little bemused that social media had to be the nudge. Bottom line: they build nice equipment, I had a rough post-sale experience, but customer service ultimately stepped up and fixed it. I’d recommend the machines with a caveat: keep receipts, check the fine print, and don’t be shy to push if something seems off.
