Beautiful vase

Service

So my mom and I went to this fancy pottery shop and we got this super nice vase with flowers on it. It's all shiny and full of color - I'm totally in love with it! The lady working there was so sweet and helped us choose it. She even told us a bit about the history of the pottery. I'm so excited to display it in my room and show it off to my friends. I think it's going to make my room look really awesome!

About Rookwood Pottery

Rookwood Pottery is an American ceramics company founded in 1880 in Cincinnati, Ohio, by Maria Longworth Nichols. It distinguished itself through high-quality art pottery decorated with motifs inspired by nature and the Japanese art of the time. Rookwood quickly gained a reputation for excellence, winning awards at international exhibitions and setting aesthetic and technical standards in the pottery industry. Early on, the company focused on producing unique, artist-signed pieces. It became a significant contributor to the American Arts and Crafts movement, emphasizing handcrafted quality over mass production. Although it faced financial difficulties and changes in ownership over the years, Rookwood Pottery remains active, continuing its tradition of creating decorative and functional ceramics.
