Delivered to the wrong building, then ignored
Delivered to the wrong building, then ignored
Deliverytheir FedEx tracking shows delivery to the wrong building, but the company kept insisting on my apartment-complex name and kept pushing FedEx to call me. It felt like harassment. I asked for a refund when it clearly hadn’t arrived. Instead they stalled, then went quiet. I worried they’d reimburse with an empty box or never send anything at all. I tried to be patient and help, but they ghosted me. Also, FYI, I checked Amazon — prices were better and returns are easier there. There were moments I thought they might fix it, small hope, but no. Professional? Not really. Efficient? No. A real shame, because the product was exactly what I needed. Very disappointed. Won’t risk it again.
Surprised by the extra 20% at checkout

Pricecompare the total at checkout, not just the item price. Olive Young could win me back by being more transparent or easing that surcharge. Until then I’ll mostly shop around.
Mostly good, but hidden VAT left a bad taste

PriceI liked this shop for years, but after my last order I’ll think twice. I buy a few skincare staples from them for my morning routine and workday touch-ups, so it was easy and convenient — until the delivery hit me with extra fees. I ordered about £82 worth, then DHL demanded VAT at 20% plus another charge, adding around £24. DHL said Olive Young chose the option to collect duties from the customer and even reported the parcel as over £135 because they’d tacked on a £10 insurance fee that wasn’t on the site or my receipts. I rang both DHL and Olive Young. DHL confirmed their side; Olive Young basically said they can’t refund VAT, no control over charges. That felt off to me — plenty of stores include duties at checkout. So yes, grateful most past orders were smooth, really am, but this one left me annoyed and wary. I’ll probably avoid ordering until they sort out clearer pricing or prepay duties at checkout.

Returns & RefundsI’m not thrilled. The big issue was surprise VAT/customs on delivery — and how the company handles it. They’ve become popular and are moving overseas fast, which could be great, but they don’t seem to have their international shipping sorted. At checkout there’s no realistic estimate of duties, then you get hit at the door and they shrug like "out of our hands." That’s not right. They tell you if a package is returned from Canada to Korea they can’t re-send or refund, so if you refuse or can’t pay you lose both money and product. I tried to get clarity, got vague answers, and ended up feeling like I paid for something I never actually received. On the plus side, the site and selection are decent, prices can be good, and some items are worth it — I won’t lie — but that won’t help if you never see the parcel. My advice: warn people about customs, give prepaid duty as an option, or at least show estimates. I still like some of their items, but I’ll be more careful next time. It’s a shame, because I was ready to be a fan.

Deliveryask for clarification first and maybe insist on a photo of the packed order. Kind of disappointing, but not the end of the world.
