Small win in the middle of a reno
Small win in the middle of a reno
Productlamps, toaster, the weird Bluetooth speaker that only works sometimes. Delivery had a bit of a wobble — tracking that pinged and then went quiet — so I half-expected more drama. But the parts themselves? Solid, clean fit, and they click in like they mean it. Installation was pretty straightforward even with my crooked screwdriver skills; the faceplates sit flush, the finish matches the rest of the trim way better than I thought it would, and the kids haven’t remoted the lights into anarchy yet, which counts as a win. The exact moment I felt satisfied was when I flipped the breaker and every outlet powered up without a single rattle or spark — just normal, reliable electricity. Not glamorous, but boy does that feel good in a house that’s been patched together over the years. Customer service answered one of my tracking questions, not lightning-fast but polite, and the follow-up email had the simple info I needed. Price felt fair for the quality; I’d rather pay a bit more for something that doesn’t wiggle loose in a year. Overall I’m glad we picked these — they make the daily bits of life easier, and that peace of mind when things just work? Worth more than the dust on my shirt. Would buy again for the next batch of outlets.
Heads-up about stock and refunds

Returns & Refunds
bank charges and currency movement. My bank confirmed the drop in exchange value between payment and refund timing. The company replied that they can't control exchange rates and won't cover the difference. Look, I get exchange risk in theory, but it's not cool to promise stock, take the money, then vanish and expect the buyer to eat the hit.
What stings most is the feeling of being strung along — their replies were fast before I paid, then gone. I do have better experiences with other suppliers who handled refunds cleanly, so this isn't normal practice everywhere. I still feel a bit hopeful that the part itself would work well — it was exactly what the van needed — but the whole buying experience left a sour taste. If you need this urgently, double-check stock yourself and be cautious with a big payment up front.
Half-delivered, half-scratched

I ordered two premium switches in March for an architecture project. One was a Busch Jaeger, the other a Berker. The Busch Jaeger showed up with obvious dents and scratches on the metal faceplate. The finish was ruined, not just a scuff; it's not repairable and not acceptable for a visible installation. The Berker never arrived. Tracking showed it stalled in another city and was sent back to the seller. My home address was on the order, so it looks like no delivery attempt was made. I contacted customer service several times. At first they denied responsibility and said the parcel wasn't picked up from the local store. That didn't make sense and I pushed back. After a few more emails and an escalation they issued a partial refund and offered a replacement for the damaged unit, which I accepted reluctantly. I have bought similar parts from specialist suppliers before and never had this mess; those companies handled shipping and returns cleanly. So, was it smooth? No. Am I slightly relieved? Yes. I'd still recommend you choose another established specialist if you care about condition on arrival.
